Like this.

*snip*

I think the white with those buttons looks fantastic but the green and red being swapped around when held like that would drive me nuts :p

Is it just the UK they don't sell it or the whole or Europe?

I haven't actually looked but the next time I am in the stores I'll look for you. If I see a red set I'll let you know. I am in the UK next week so maybe I can help out :) - I'll take a look for you!

Oh, the coloured buttons? Of course, they are optional (and I'll be honest in that I don't like them either, so I'd not use them). If you remember the video I posted, the very end you'll see that the guy has black buttons with the gold joycons. So you can keep the existing buttons. Matching colour issue gone. All it is, is just the actual plastic bit that makes up the joycon. It's not a skin or anything like that, it's an alternate way to get coloured joycons.

And yes, they are unavailable anywhere in Europe (base.com sold them but has been out of stock for months), looks like they just plain ain't selling them. And in the US, it's sold out most places. A shame that Japan is the only place that gets custom order Switches (aka any colour joycons you like out of all the officially released ones so far, with your switch).

Heck, I wouldn't mind swapping my grey joycons with someone who has the blue-left/red-right pair that comes with the neon Switch. Or even just swapping a right blue for that right red, since regular red-left/blue-right joycons are available in some places. Is it too much to ask to want nice looking joycons?

The parcel arrived while I was at work (I'd post pics but it's still in bubble wrap and I'm too tired). It seemed to be wrapped in bubble wrap within a 2nd box and the invoice was hilariously low (like a quarter of it's actual price, cos of taxes ofc). The Switch box is smaller than I thought. Videos and images make the Switch look bigger than it actually is.

Now I just need some games besides Monster Hunter to play on it, I'm not sure what to get. Amazon currently has a nice offer of £5 off £35+ orders and £10 off £75+ orders until Monday. I'd probably pre-order Mario Odyssey, since it doesn't really have any special bundles or anything, but I can't say the same for Xenoblade, which doesn't even have a release date or box art yet. Only thing putting me off Mario Kart now is that I still have it on WiiU and we still play the WiiU...

Edit: The Joycon plastic replacements cost £16 for a pair btw. Not exactly 'cheap' (for some plastic). Each to their own though.

Yes I know they're optional. But I am saying I'd like them as I think they look good but my inner OCD stops me from having it :p :)

Lots of content available for the Switch now, get watching youtube for the eshop releases and see what tickles your fancy. If you like puzzles then Death Squared is great fun, multiplayer too!

I think my next purchase will be Steam digworld 2, the recent Nindies videos have been fantastic. Some really great looking games are coming! :D

I'm glad you have your Switch!

OK Kingdom Battle is great. I doubted it but needn't have. Playing it in handheld all morning. I thought the Rabbids would be annoying but they're actually really cool. Another cracking Switch game.

Completed the first area and boss. It's cool that I can now go back and mop up some of the things I missed. Visually it's quite nice. The music score is very good. Tactically it isn't as brutal as x-com can be but it flows really nicely when you get the hang of it. Love Rabbid Peach such a great character.

Going to play some Splatfest now :)

How good does it look in handheld, I loved the opening cutscenes with the humming of Mario music , some great little touches in this game

I have only played hand held so far, enjoying it! I noticed a slight spike in difficulty at the first mid boss but wasn't too bad. I think it was just maybe too easy until then and now it's opening up more.

Took me a couple of tries to do him. Once I completed that world I went back to try and perfect every level. I killed that mid boss in 2 turns. The weapons do get a lot more powerful and skills help as well.

Thanks for the feedback on the portable chargers, I've ordered the Ravpower one so I'll see how I get on.

Also been playing Kingdom Battle and loving it so far. Currently around half way through chapter 3 and done 95% of the challenges in the 1st 2 worlds too. Finding it extremely addictive! Mario, Rabbid Mario, and Luigi are a pretty devastating combination on the attacking side.

The Ravpower is excellent. It charges the Switch faster than it depletes even on battery intense games like Zelda. We use it around the house when using low battery tablets/phones etc. when reading or surfing. Found it really useful just to have it around.

I'm using Mario, Rabbid Mario (who I have just unlocked) and Rabbid Luigi. I've taken my Switch to work so I can play some more at lunch. I need to go back and do some of the challenges. Are you all using bounce or honey weapons? I'm still playing around with what I think works best. As above extremely addictive! I could barely put it down all weekend. I didn't even manage to max my level in the Splatfest. No time!

I use bounce for Mario, Vamp for Rabbid Mario, and Ink for Luigi. When I was using Rabbid Peach it was Honey for her. I don't think there is a best, although I avoid honey since it's actually a good thing when enemies move for me since Steely Stare and Hero Sight are absolutely lethal together. Just unlocked Rabbid Yoshi, not sure about him :). You can usually get/afford better weapons/skills if you go back through the level to do the challenges which then makes the following world a fair bit easier. The enemies in the 3rd world start to get a bit harder and expecting the 4th to be pretty tough.

I'm in the same boat as you, been taking into work for a quick 30-45min blast over lunch. Got Zelda/Splatoon2/Overcooked/Snipperclips but only played MRKB so far.

Just picked up a Switch (on Friday), so far my nearly-4-year-old twins have spent most of the the time playing MK on it! Are the little plastic steering wheels any good?

Zelda arrived today so looking forward to playing tonight. Also looking forward to Skyrim, Rocket League (this will be the 3rd time I've bought it) and Stardew Valley.
