What's this binding of Isaac like ? Worth the £35 price tag ?

It's kind of a cult indie rogue-like. Imagine the original 8 or 16 bit 2D Zelda games with randomised maps so it's different every time you play. It's good fun, and people have spent hundreds of hours on it, but it does feel expensive for £35. It was originally an Adobe flash game which grew into the franchise it is now purely because people loved it so much. On first impressions it looks like a ridiculously simple twin stick shooter but there's amazing depth to it's mechanics.

It also has a fairly weird dark setting and a pretty twisted sense of humour. I'm actually surprised Nintendo let it out on their system knowing what they're like when it comes to censorship.

There's lots of videos on YouTube and it's always being streamed on twitch if you want to check it out.

Amazon sent me an email today to say they don't have stock yet so my order has been delayed otherwise I'd post up my thoughts! The EU version of the game is delayed for 6 months after the us release and still there isn't stock! Typical :(

Binding of Isaac would be a perfect fit for switch but I can't justify the cost when I think I grabbed the pc one for just a few pounds years back. Granted this has more content

L.A. Noire was extremely over rated back then, it's very repetitive which was apparent from the first trailers then when it came out, that is all it was. Smart tech aside.

I like that it's coming just as a chance to see how these games do on Switch and I'm sure some will buy it. Remember Rockstar only published this, it was developed by Team Bondi who I believe now doesn't exist :(

*yea they went in to liquidation, thought so :(

Daft as it is, I'm really looking forward to Stardew Valley on the Switch, I've held off buying it on the PS4 because when the missus is watching TV it feels like it would be a great game to chill out to.

Stardew Valley is great, one of the best indie games I've played in a while. I've pumped more hours into that than any other PS4 game I've got. Only stopped playing it when BOTW came out. I reckon I'll probably end up getting it for the Switch too as it's one of those games that you can pick up and play for 20mins...or 4 hours which is good if you haven't got much time for gaming anymore :D

I can't wait for it. Do wonder how it will control on switch as i played pc originally. Not played a lot of it either so it will be fairly fresh for me hopefully! The music is great

Sounds good. I'm getting Animal Crossing (good music) meets Harvest Moon (farming lifestyle) vibes with this one?

Hoping it's not too long away before the release.

Secret of Mana 3D looks utter rubbish to me, so I'm not fussed with this.

It was less about a desire to play a 3D version and more the principle - to this day SoM is still one of the best games I played (multiplayer Zelda type game!!!) and yet Switch doesn't bother with a localized version of the games, and when a remake comes along it doesn't even go to the Switch...even the frickin' Vita gets it

ARMS is getting a custom button mapping feature soon.

Finally I can fix the moronic decision to put block on the thumb stick when there are loads of free buttons to use!

Red Dead Redemption on the Switch, now that would be some good news :D Shame it won't happen I guess as they will be looking at RDR2

RDR2 won't be coming to Switch though I wouldn't have thought. So yeah I'd take the original.

Binding of Isaac plays so well in handheld I love playing it on the go. The price is a bit steep but I just had to have it so I am happy. Played it to death on holiday.

Also looking forward to Stardew Valley even though I don't know much about it. All I read about is high praise though so I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about.

Also Hollow Knight (release date coming soon) and Axiom Verge (October 20th according to Amazon).

Was that a physical copy from Amazon? No update on mine yet :(

I contacted Amazon earlier to ask about it and they gave me £5 credit so guess I can't complain too much though!

Yes, but the cheeky buggers added an extra £3 for "estimated import costs" so it's now £25 :(

I pre-ordered mine for £27.99 on amazon, see its not £33.99 but Amazon lock in the cheapest pre order price so I am all good, I just need em to get stock and send the thing out now, really wanting Isaac on the Switch, need to tap that addiction :P
