*** Nintendo Switch ***

Got my Neon switch yesterday with Zelda. Should keep me busy for a while!

Really struggling with the A/B button layout. 15 years of muscle memory on an XBOX controller has me constantly pressing the wrong A or B.

It's been really weird not playing the past few days. And it's been even weirder not thinking about it when not playing it. Pretty much constantly over the last 3 months of gameplay it's either been playing Zelda or thinking about what I am going to do next time I play Zelda. All signs of a great game IMO.

Anyway, last couple of days I completed Octopath Traveller. I think this will be my first ever JRPG purchase. It's simply brilliant and looks incredible :) - Also played the Rayman Legends Definitive Edition Demo. Also good, not sure if it's worth a full purchase. Maybe on a 50% offer or something. Last night I got beat on Splatoon 2 a lot but after a couple of hours I was getting back into the swing of things and just really enjoying it :)

On the way to work this morning I began properly with Snake Pass. Man this game is cute yet at times infuriating :D

Do you like sport games?

Not really to be honest. I played a bit of Fifa 95 back in the day :D - but otherwise nope. Football in general holds zero interest for me and the thought of playing a sports game just isn't me.

There are plenty of games around to keep me interested. I just want my moneys worth so I play them to death/completion before purchasing a new one. :)

I will finish Snake Pass next and throw a lot of hours into Splatoon 2 when at home. Next purchases for me will be Sonic Mania & Mario Odyssey. In fact Mario is pre-ordered :)

I'm on holiday at the moment so I've gone back to Snake Pass and I'm trying to 100% every level. The game is so cute but my god the camera really frustrates at times. Love everything else about it though.

Agreed. I didn't know but tapping R zooms the camera out a bit which can help at times.

Yeah I wasn't interested in Golf Story but the reviews are very positive. Might have to check it out but other than Mario I am trying to work through the digital stuff that I already bought before I buy anything else.

£13.49 on the store I see. Tempting!

I was about to purchase Fifa on the switch but i've just read that you can't play online with friends on the switch :O

I hope this isn't true or if it is it gets fixed asap before i purchase it.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...-on-fifa-18-on-switch-and-its-nintendos-fault

Here is a quote from the article. "In FIFA 18 on Switch, you can't play online with friends, and I personally lay the blame at Nintendo's feet. The Switch just doesn't have the online infrastructure in place that should be the bare minimum for any contemporary console, and FIFA 18 exposes that once again."
"Nintendo's Switch doesn't have a built-in invite system, nor does it have a party system. The online service remains barebones, well after the console's launch and a couple of months after the dedicated mobile app - which we found to be severely lacking - went live. It's pitiful stuff."

So Nintendo have some online in place I guess but I don't think the bulk of it is live until the paid for service arrives?

Not sure what the case is with it. Guess it might come later when Nintendo do their online service, although looking at the mess of the voice comms for Splatoon 2, I wouldn't be surprised if its not offered!

Just makes no sense that i have games that aren't exactly big budget or AAA that have online play with friends yet the first AAA game from EA doesn't come with a online feature for friends to play with one another. No excuse for it in my opinion especially seen as we are in 2017.

I'm currently on route to take my brothers back for a full refund.
