*** Nintendo Switch ***

Literally the exact same reason for buying as me. Plus we're downsizing and having a kid, so no more gaming/computer "study" room.

The Switch has been amazing for me having a 2 year old. I don't think I've been on my PC in my man cave pretty much since the Switch was released.

Yeah I have a 3 year old and my PC gaming has dwindled as well since having her so I think the switch will be perfect, and I think she will like it as well hopefully.

I purchased a Switch a couple of months back, bought as a reward for quitting smoking. However, I wanted to ensure that I had earned my reward (usually when I declare that I have quit, I only last a day or two). Panic buying led me to purchase mine back in October as I had scared myself into thinking that Switches may be hard to purchase during Christmas. I was wrong.

Anyway during the last couple of months, apart from eye-balling the box and unpacking; I used the time to slowly pick up accessories, Pro Controller, Case etc. Everything other than games!

Having been spoiled by the cost of PC games (when compared to consoles) paying £40 is a bit of a rude awakening! Anyway after much conundrum, purchased Skyrim as my first game. My wishlist is growing, Zelda, Mario etc. Whereas with PC's I purchase on a whim, I am going to make sure I play what I buy!

I heard that Terraria is on the future list and I hope that retro Nintendo games such as Snes, make an appearance.

Really looking forward to some on the sofa gaming while the Mrs watches rubbish EastEnders and the like! :)

No need to hold back mate, say it how ya mean it!

Tiny Metal has me wishing for an actual Advance Wars to come to Switch. To the folks who like playing Tiny Metal, I recommend Mario and Rabbids. That game was a big surprise, especially as I was very skeptical of it. It's a great X-Com-like turn-based battle game.

I look forward to the releases next year and the Nintendo Direct that we'll get any day now. Possibly more info on Pokemon and a release date for Project Octopath? It has to be near completion considering the demo on the eShop has been around a while. And then there's all the games that we don't even know about...

Mario Odyssey is complete, time to go back to Zelda to finish off some other bits and do the DLC. Hopefully by then we have the direct. :)

How many tries for the darker side of the moon?

No idea. Lets just safely settle on "a lot" :D

Joking aside...

most of it was fine. The wall took me a lot of attempts to figure out the pattern and route but afterwards I could do it first time no problems. The bit I found the worst was the platform with the hedgehogs and then the bit with the bird just after that.

I found it a pain until I switched to the pro pad. I was finally converted by the last moon :p
I swapped to the pro pad a while ago. Started off on split joy cons. Around 1/3rd of the way in i just swapped to the pro pad, I missed it. Did most of the game with that or in handheld :)

The bird part was an absolute nightmare for me. Tip for the moving platforms though, don't hit the laser things. Just stand on the opposite side of where the enemies are coming from and hit them with Cappy as soon as they land.

Just completed Xenoblade 2. I'm still not a fan of the waifu character design, the sidesquests mostly suck and the battle system gets a bit...samey after you've played it for 70 hours but overall I really enjoyed the main quest. The plot kept me invested and the main cast really grew on me. Now on to killing the superbosses I guess :p.

Was quite enjoying golf story but I'm getting quite bored of it now. Got this overwhelming urge to restart Zelda again so I can do some exploring differently even if there's no reason I couldn't just do it now.
I'm not far in, only one divine beast and a few shrines.

Having had a 3 month break since finishing Zelda after throwing 150 hours at it before. I can tell you...its still breathtakingly gorgeous and a pleasure to enjoy :)

I found the same, the plot is pretty dull and the gameplay doesn't really progress aside from the courses becoming more annoying rather than interesting. I enjoyed the first 2-3 hours a lot but by about 7-8 hours I was just willing it to be over.
