*** Nintendo Switch ***

Loved a basketball game on the Dreamcast and one on the N64, but couldn't get into any recent ones.

This seems like a game you buy in that launch drought, except Mario Kart and Zelda are pretty compelling still.

I'm using my ps4 to play persona 5 and am constantly wishing it was on the switch so I could put more time into it. The flip side is that I've been playing MK8D on the train instead.

As my NS purchase time looms ever closer (and after receiving a decent tax refund) I am picking up a Pro controller tonight. :)

BIG benefit is it natively working with both Windows and OSX. I can get some emulated gaming in during spare time which will scratch the itch a lot until I get the NS :)

Very excited to own a game controller again. It's been years!

Plus it means when Raymond visits with his NS in a few weeks we can multiplayer on MK8D as well.

Good times ahead!

Good times indeed, I use my pro for playing older games on my macbook when away and pc when at home and it is awesome.

Well I've replayed Wind Waker through an unhealthy amount of times, fancy doing it again on the big screen :D

Also, got a big itch to replay through TP. I can barely remember it :/

Agreed. Better on Dolphin than the remastered version. I didn't like the lighting they added on the WiiU version as it didn't suit the cell shaded look. Either way, both looked great.

I agree, now would you buy it again on Switch!?

Wind Waker has that "timeless" look about it. A truely beautiful game that will look as good as if it came out yesterday, as apposed to over a decade ago!

You can say that about a lot of Nintendo games. Mario Sunshine and Galaxy still look great today, as does Zelda ALttP and Super Mario World. Metroid, Smash and Pikmin from the GameCube have aged well too.

I think other than the initial batch of 3D games (N64 era), Nintendo have really nailed their art style to make their games timeless. The further away games are from "realistic" graphics the better they age.

Agreed Kreee. I love that Nintendo has built this kind of company where they can send out an official company newsletter with Mario sneakily in the corner etc.

Something Sony & MS employees couldn't do.

Who remembers this just before the NS was announced?

Like...ONLY Nintendo could post that and the whole world lose their minds over it.

Thats something I really love about the company.

sony does it on twitter like when mavity rush 2 came out they posted everthing up side down

or when horizon came out

Sorry I was more trying to highlight that simply showing a cartoon of a fat Italian plumber send the world crazy. Not specific game shots like the Horizon Zero Dawn. But you're still right with the mavity rush 2 thing.

I'm tired so it's hard to put across. But its basically Nintendos 'style' which allows them to be borderline childish and it works so well for them.
