*** Nintendo Switch ***

it's easy! You just go to the My Nintendo site, click on settings and change your country, then buy the game! (use a free free credit card to avoid getting charged by your bank)

I bought my game on the Nintendo website and it's good to see them get up with the times :p It immediately downloaded on my Switch. Then I am free to set back to UK, but i've left mine on ZA as I've no reason to change it yet

Cool! I was under the impression you had to create a brand new account for the other region, this is much easier.

Correct, that's my experience anyway

I didn't see the option to tbh, the options for me were credit card or gift voucher.

Appreciate it, thanks. I will look in to it. Not sure if I get charged for purchases abroad or not. If so, I am happy to spend the 10.99 for sure :D but at half the price, almost, it's worth considering.

You think they will ever try and clamp down on this?

on my normal bank account with a debit card, I get charged 2.75%, but I use a Halifax card which has no fee, eeking out further savings. I'm a tight arse you see ;)

If you have funds on your account bear in mind this is lost when switching regions, at least that is the warning I get. Only have £1.78 so probably worth it for the savings.

I'd be interested to hear if you do really lose it. Didn't know that.

unsure tbh, this is the first time i've tried it but i've been buying foreign region Xbox One games for years saving hundreds and it's perfectly allowed by Microsoft.

Started using my Nintendo switch a lot more than i used to as of late so i decided to purchase the Anker Powercore+ 26800 and it should arrive tomorrow.

Cost a pretty penny but it should come in handy especially with a bit of travelling i'll be doing later this month and next via train.

Anyone else using powerbanks and if so what powerbank are you using and how does it hold up?

Can that charge USB C POWERED laptops as well?

I have the slightly older Anker 26800 and its fantastic for charging the switch, they appear to have done something odd with the new model and replaced dual power bank recharge ports with a single one, meaning the recharge time has gone up from 6.5hours to 10hours.

Not sure if there are any other differences but £13 cheaper if anyone is in the market, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01JIWQPMW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Just got a confirmation email saying that I will have Mario Odyssey with Cappy on release day. Hurrah.

Set it for pick up at the store close to work. So will pop in at lunchtime :)

Haven't told the wife about Cappy yet... :D

:D

It was unclear so I held off, happy to buy it there for the lols of putting the hat on our toddler for a laugh:D
My intention is to hook it over some books (all casual) which are hidden by the projector screen when it drops down.

See how long I can have it there for before she notices :D
