*** Nintendo Switch ***

For all of my years in gaming (and collecting from Nes/masterystem onwards) I have never even loaded 1 zelda game!

Time to change that. Breath of the Wild is arguably the best of them, it takes all the best from previous generations and put it into 1 game. You don't need to play any previous games either.

So jealous I really want one, but apparently saving for a house and wedding is more important.
I went through all this last year. So i feel your pain.

What you need to do is get a good best man who can buy one for you with the photographer as a wedding gift :p

Finished BOTW last night, first Zelda I've done since Wind Waker on the Cube. Usually with open world games when I finish the story, it goes back on the shelf never to be picked up again. But something is calling me back to Zelda. I want to play more and more of it and explore even more than I already have!

I definitely will be getting the season pass. Totally fallen in love with the world.

I was working on some of the DLC last night and at one point I just stopped and looked at the game and I said to my wife "After 160+ hours of playing, this game is still stunning"

Her reply "...yes dear"

:D

I'm looking for a good case to keep this in/transport it. What are people's suggestions?

All covered for every eventuality. You need to remove the sleeve/case for actual docking, but it takes literally seconds. Plus the stand it offers is waaaaay sturdier than the built in kick stand.

Also not to forget the tempered glass protector which is a 100% must by.

I bought the Nintendo case + screen protector. Are those not as good as the above? Still haven't arrived, so have time to change my mind.

The cases are all much and much the same. I have all those OZRLY products so can only comment on those. The screen protector from Nintendo is a bit pants from what I've read on here I think.

Okay thanks. Will keep it for the time being now, and if needed buy another tempered glass screen protector.

The newer version of the Orzly case is easily the best one, but make sure you don't get the old one as it has a non-zipped compartment and far fewer game slots.

You can fit a lot of games in it and in the zipped compartment I can either have my Hori portable stand and a USB-C cable, my 3D printed portable dock and a USB-C cable or a second set of Joy Cons, USB-C cable and four of the wrist straps. It's also much sturdier than the Nintendo case.

The official Nintendo case is soft, has a useless built in stand that takes up a lot of space and you cannot see what the games are without removing them from their slots. The screen protector is OK but it's plastic not glass so it will scratch and tarnish quickly. I used this case for a long time without any issues, but the Orzly is better in every way.

My recommended accessories:
1- 3D printed portable dock
2- Orzly Tempered Screen Protector
3- New version of the Orzly case

Optional accessories that I appreciate:
- Anker battery pack
- Anker USB-C cables
- Hori portable stand
- Hori 4x Joy Con charge stand
- Nintendo play and charge grip for the Joy Cons. I hate that this isn't included with the Switch though.

I see no value in attached cases/covers or grips but some people do.
