Nintendo Wii

Here although I've noticed that they've taken down the job I'm in which is 'Games Tester' or 'QA software tester.' Something like that anyway.

I also worked for EA games last summer and got my hands on a 360 at about this time last year, not that there was anything good running on it though.

Shame he's been suspended, I know several people who work on the Quality Assurance/Testing whatever it is for EA in Surrey who worked on the Battlefield games. Not ONE of them has heard of him :D

I've always loved Ninty and am intrigued by the Wii, but I'm also a bit of a graphics tart :o, so after seeing a number of in-game vids for the machine, I'm torn as to whether to get one or not.

Well put it this way... whenever theyre "at work" i can find them on counterstrike :D

But one of them HAS been on BF2142, maybe they'll actually get rid of some of the bugs! ;)

So we finally know who to blame for BF2

Dammit change of words now

One guy I talked to didnt know him, but Toby says hi to you Blanchy if you happen to read this! :p

A guy called dwarf pr0n (guessing that's not his christened name ;) ) supposedly DID do the testing, I asked him why it wouldn't even load up without the first patch, he told me to shut up lol.

I'm still open to the Wii but several things put me off:

1. The actual console isn't as much of a technical advance as I would like, I know gameplay over graphics bla bla bla but why buy a new console unless it is going to be a big leap over previous ones. I have a 360, while it's not as much of a leap as say PS2 over PS1 it is still a large improvement, the Wii is more powerful than the GC sure but I don't know if it is a large enough leap to keep me happy.

2. Nintendo has the stigma of their consoles having mainly 'kiddy' games, whilst this certainly isn't true for every game it is a true overall statement. The GC probably has 3 kiddy games to every 1 'adult' title.

I realise they are concerntrating on gameplay and innovation like their new controller, but I think the novelty of that will wear off quite quickly.

As I said I am still open to it, but I want to see some big improvements over the GC.

I know what you mean by this . I do love nintendo but there are times were all i want to do is go and shoot something. O.K so they have red steel but how many more games will come out like that , hopefully loads then the Wii will be the BEESTSTS

This is my aim for uni aswell, Smash Bros tfw :D

Now no flaming me here guys, cause I admit I dont know much about the wii.

I was just wondering though, anyone worried how it will look on a larger HD TV? also does anyone know if there will be a VGA connection to hook it up to a monitor or will it just be the standard composite/svideo?
