No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

Looks tempting but for the next 42 days (6 weeks) I'm only home 16 days and need some family time, wait until October I think plus I'll get a good look at post hype reviews then.

you've seriously played the same game for 7 hours per day since release?

I did because i had like 100+ on friend list, and that game is squad game tbh,and much more fun to play in a group, solo is only story.
Im still playing it,not much due to new games incoming.
Besides i had serious injury and had nothing to do for months :D
5min - God bless Steam servers

Sadly I'm not pre-ordering etc until I've seen "Worth a buy" and a few others reviews on it, similar reasons to you with past game purchases. Shame that NMS potentially misses out because of the actions of others but it's a game I could enjoy, single player (more or less) so if it's above average I've no doubt I'll buy it at some point anyway :)

Keen to see some actual footage from people I trust though first.

My comment on his channel:

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mack will draw many comparisons to Elite: Dangerous, which is arguably one of his favourite games! Elite is categorized as a sim, by which you're confined to your ship, save for some very limited planetary exploration.
Sure, there are similarities owing to the genre, but No Man's Sky has never been marketed as a sim. You can't expect intricate vehicle mechanics, in-depth combat, or accurate interstellar phenomena.
The game isn't perfect, but it's a technical marvel, and certainly has a lot more going for it than a yearly iteration of a generic shooter!
Please give this a positive review, Mack. You've given the thumbs-up to a damn sight worse in my opinion.
