The chances of running into anyone on the outer edge of the universe is pretty much impossible. So visiting a planet someone has already been to is almost nil.
 
Arrgh, just noticed my preload has the 2 addons listed and says installed.

Really didn't want to use these bonuses (ship and money)

I hope they can be deleted? Or at least disabled.

Ive seen some interesting ideas about taking screenshots of your initial planet the second you 'land'; sites to record flora and fauna etc and; personal blogs/diaries of your travels etc...

Why I mentioned the metagame before, as some seem to be approaching how theyll tackle NMS is some very creative ways.

I guess so, im hoping it's either not installed but just sitting in addons for me to download.

If it is, hopefully it's just a ship I can choose if I want early in the game where ever you buy the ships.

I did contemplate getting it on PS4 as it's out tomorrow but supposedly the PC version has ultrawide support which would sway me towards that version instead. Plus I generally prefer buying games for PC in Steam rather than for a specific console platform is I have the choice.
 
Picking it up on both PC / PS4 (to play with different people), so cannot wait. Will hold off the PC version for a while; but Wednesday will pick up a copy for PS4 (then wait until my thesis is finished to play :( ).

Literally no point in playing this 'with people'. You'll never meet up with them in game.
 
Had to tear myself away from this. Found a crashed ship that had better weapons and a couple more slots. Wanted to repair, but would have needed half an hour/hour to gather materials.
Saved at an outpost nearby, but not sure I'll be able to find it again.

The scale is pretty mindblowing. You could spend an age on one planet alone, navigating numerous galaxies... Insane.
Inventory management is the main killer so far it seems!

Did have one lockup tonight though, requiring PS4 be turned off/on... :/
