TAKE YOUR RATIONAL ANALYSIS ELSEWHERE
That's why old cars are the cars of the future for anyone who likes cars.
I love driving past Prius's and diesel misery wagons in my 5 litre Z28, undoing all their eco do goodyness.
What is even more annoying is in the US/Canada they just don't care...just seems Europe/UK is the place where they are trying to kill off the car![]()
My plan is to buy a backup K20 in case my engine dies in x years time
Isn't it worse there? They banned the manual Toyota Supra twin turbo in 1996, and it was never sold at all in 5 states
I remember reading the average American family has 3 children and 4 cars...

This new Euro V regulation has also killed the Elise and Exige in 1.8 litre form.
Let me guess: Euro 7 involves a bus pass, or walking?![]()
And Euro 8 involves walking whilst only taking a breath of air every 100 meters![]()
And?
2 children and 4 cars here.
Holy overreactions batman!
The thread title makes it sound like the whole type-r brand is dying forever in europe. Lets get some perspective by actually reading the article - the Civic Type-R is being axed because they dont want to spend the money modifying the engine on a model thats due to be replaced soon. Seems perfectly sensible to me, why bother spending £x million developing and testing to only sell 5 more cars?
