ill be honest I've never seen his work so I don't know how good he is, so I cant judge him but IMO age and fitness will be a factor.
another option for me would be Dan Stevens.
I could see Henry doing it well. I see him as quite a young Brosnan. He'd fit the suit, charm and gadgets.

It's already happened. The scripts for modern Bond contain many American colloquialisms. One particular bugbear of mine being the use of 'bring' instead of 'take'.
I agree, bond is a incredibly two-dimensional character but I think he could be developed if it has the right start.

Yeah, I wouldn't be against that personally. They'd certainly need better writers than they're currently employing though!
True and a better star, I mean just compare him to the previous bonds, Craig's bond only ever says a few words.

I'd think he could do it - he's pretty versatile. A surprisingly well-known choice though. Maybe they suspect the franchise is flagging, and need someone with mainstream appeal to give it a boost.

40 is too old for an actor who wouldn't start shooting til he's $2 at the earliest, then have to do physically demanding stunts for 10+ years leading to the same old stories of Bond getting too old, retiring then coming back for one last mission - crap we've seen time after time after time.
As mentioned previously I think the the Actor playing bond needs to be mid-30's at the oldest so that they can make 3 films over 10 years then quit whilst the Bond character is still capable, rather than being 50+.

Hardy is a fantastic actor and actually has some credentials to back it up. Warrior was just epic. I bet this will upset the whole lot who were praying for something different though. It’s a shame Craig didn’t go sooner.

It doesn't matter who they pick. The writers will just write the same old characterisations and mannerisms even if the actor wants to play it differently.
