I noticed this too. For the first time since I got ESET Smart Security, it caused a blue screen this morning (I think it was this, as I noted that the virus definition update failed, and it was the only program not functioning properly on a restart.
So I went to see if the new program would fix it - to my surprise, it installed v4 rather than v3 as I was expecting. I like the changes they've made though...
Yep, I got the same - BSOD - then red NOD32 tray icon after reboot. The problem for me was that I was in the process of trying to increase the CPU OC from 3.6 to 4GHz so I thought the BSOD was down to instability.
