not happy with ssd speeds, thing something wrong

Hi, i just brought my 1st ssd, ocz agility3 240gig, first loadup seemed fast, now its slow as hell in my view, not what i was expecting.

this is a screen shot of my speeds, it means nothing to me but when i look at it, it seems horrible.

now under the pcidde - BAD it says intel(r) 6 series/c200 series chipset family 4 port serial ata storage controller - 1c00 bad

also looked at Sean's Windows 7 Install & Optimization Guide for SSDs & HDDs but still no joy, one thing it says to turn on ahci sata in uefi but it just crashs my computer on each load so meh

help plz

thats my problem if i set ahci in my bios it keeps crashing and doesnt even load windows up

my mb is Gigabyte z68ap-d3 intel z68 board.....

because of that regfile u linekd, it works 100% now, i love u, let me test it

its better now, so does that now look fine? i thougt with ssd's tho windows would load up in like 20 secs or something, mine doesnt seem to do that but o well
 
It depends,gigabyte boards have longer BIOS page laoding times,once past that it should be quick,everything looks ok for sata2 speeds,it bsod before because you didn't set ahci before you installed win7,but that reg file does it for you without reinstalling

Makesure you put ssd onto Intel SATA 3 port not SATA 2
 
Install Intel RST.

Version 10.8.0.1003 here (the 6.89MB file)

Version: 11.2.0.1006 here (the 12.35MB file)

The newer version 11 is designed specifically for Intel motherboards.

It may install on non-Intel boards or it may not.

This should have you using the Intel AHCI driver instead of the generic Microsoft one.

It may improve things further.
 
This post is helping me slightly , i have a crucial 128 SSD M4 , Ive only just noticed it was set to IDE , so i changed it to AHCI , But when i re-booted it halted on an error which was MBR error1 , please insert floppy???? , I gave no thought to how i installed my hard drives and connected them up to any sata port?? Do they have to be in specific ports , i also have a 2tb baracuda and a 3tb baracuda. Any Ideas?

if its gigabyte i think its what surveyor says the white intel sata3 ports,connect ssd and sata3 hdd to those,and use blue intel sata2 for the rest,did you click and run the reg file and follow the guide i posted above to enable ahci after windows installation?

and do what surveyor says and install the intel rapid storage drivers as it will help improve read/write figures

heres what i get with crucial m4 on intel sata3 port/ahci mode
