I'm white, and my GF is black.

Her mum is black, her husband is white.

Her sister is black, her husband is white.


There's a bit of a pattern there ;) It's quite funny when going somewhere there's 3 black girls with 3 white guys, you don't very often see 1 black girl/white bloke couple, but to see 3 in the same place, people do have to double-take lol :)
 
I'd go out with one yea, infact already have (asian) and she was lovely.

Would I marry or have children though? I don't think so. Life is difficult enough without throwing culture\ethnicity problems into the mix too.

Nothing more than a personal preference.
 
Your're always going to get some tricky cultural differences.

My GF is Russian, and differences exist. Nothing too major, but I can imagine going out with an Indian, Chinese person would be quite "interesting" at times and just plain difficult at other times.

It's fun, but a bit different, humour for example varies massively between cultures.
It takes patience, some people wouldnt have the patience for it and Im not criticising that, it's just a fact.
 
can all the desi's in this thread just chill for a second. I agree with asim, its his choice to like whoever he wants, I used to feel the same way as him a few years back, never liked asian girl's, too stuck up and oncified when compared to other girls but im diff now, as for zain chill out bro, you should realise that some asians feel a different way, and there aint nothing wrong with it!

I tend to stick to caucasians 6ft plus... maybe thats why I am single.

Was a bit shocked to find out the other day from an ex that the reason he split up with me was because I was half Chinese and when he told his parents they were like.. er no.

He still fancies me, but thankfully I don't believe in going back. ;)

I have no problem dating people from other races. My current girlfriend is Chinese (well Bradfordian, but you know what I mean ;)), a previous gf was half Indian, another was from Guatamala (sp? - although she was pretty much American) and I went out with a girl who was half Japanese.

If you like the person, then why let anything at all stop that?

Well their obviously incredibly ignorant and it doesn’t make him look very good listening to them.

Yes.. he was weak and he said if it was now he would have told them to *** off.

Not a loss tbh... not at all.. I've seen him recently and he was fit when I went out with him but looks about 45 now :o (he is 26)

This thread is full of some very strange attitudes. I don't know if it's just because it's the internet and people say stupid things on the internet, i don't know if its ignorance and some of it might even be racism!! :eek:

We all have personal choice, we all have the right to our own oppinions and we all feek the way we feel and there's nothing wrong with that.
If you are genuinely not attracted to people of other races, so be it, that's cool. If you find other races attractive but you couldn't get over the cultural differences, that's cool too, it's your life and you absolutely have the right to decide how you live it.

BUT, if you've just simply decided that you wouldn't consider dating someone from another race because of their race then by it's very definition, that's racist. I think some of the comments on here are racist but are written by people who don't even realise that they're a racist.

Lighten up people, it's 2006, if nothing else, it's simply not practicl to be racist in such a multi cultural society, you'll never get anywhere like that.

The two big things that i appreciate from other cultures, food, and yep, women!! :p

Some people respect their parents :dunno: and want to please them...

Presumably people also like their parents somewhat? So why would someone choose to hurt their parents like that?
