Not using your car because it's too nice

I drive my girlfriend’s car if I need to go in to town because she isn’t arsed about it, and there’s so few parking spaces and the ones that are there are so narrow that I’m not risking mine.

Semi-tactical with mine (VXR8). Tend not to use it when the following apply:

- Salty roads
- End destination (car park) is tight or spaces aren't particularly generous - it's a big car at 4.9m long x 2.9m wide but I'm precious whether it's my car or my daughter's Fiat Punto!
- Journeys when it's the family and it doesn't make sense to use a 6.2L V8 Vs our 1.5L family car (MG GS) - suppose I've transitioned more from daily to selected use

Having said that I will use it weekly once/twice just to stop it from being a driveway ornament. Not afraid to get it dirty but people who generally don't give a hoot about their cars worry me more. I used it last week, parked at a local Tesco and in the 5 mins I was in there somebody had reversed into the front bumper, scuffed it and driven off

Lucky enough to have a couple of choices. The big cat comes out on high days and holidays When the weather’s nice. Tesla is the go to choice for runabout.

would certainly be careful of taking it to dodgy areas.
