Noteworthy Cars for Sale [Appreciation Thread]

Being from the US aren't there thousands of Mustang's available? Surely it would need to be a special edition to stand any chance of appreciating, at least for the foreseeable future? It'd be like expecting a 2010 Golf GTI to be worth a lot of money?

The 350gt is the Shelby special edition, has the voodoo engine with the flat plane crank and 8k rev limit. Should hold it's value as they are unlikely to use that engine again

Shows how knowledgeable I am about Mustangs! That does sound special and I'd imagine keeping it for a good few years should see values at least hold steady.

Lotus Exige S3 Americans are craving but they need to be 10 years plus old I think for them to import, at which point Exige values might go up but they may also dip before then as they moved up a bit during Covid times and have not dropped back much yet.

I've been thinking about getting a BMW I8, it's out of production and doesn't look like a replacement is coming anytime soon. It didn't sell in huge numbers and I think $50k / 40k GBP is about the bottom of the depreciation curve.

However the Mustang 350gt's are also around $50k and I'd much rather have one of those and also think they would hold value well

Cant see mustangs holding their money very well at all. Too common and nothing that special apart from the limited edition ones.

thought it was 20 years for the emissions to be excluded for the US? thats why original NSX went through the roof a few years ago.
