Most folk are too scared to give a bike ago though! you for one ;)

Sometimes i get this feeling Lee is some sort of rich king, with his track car and his rover dealership (Prolly got it for free like since no-one can shift the mayo on the floor)

Make sure your customers don't fall over when they walk in the door :p

Not on a track, and a bike would probably be safer than that tin can of a nova. :D

I think you mean 1/4 - track time is debatable :D 4 wheels have more grip than 2 so a bike is faster on the straights and slower in the corners.

Yeah i mean the 1/4 mile track, i would not go on a bike on a track with corners.

If you want a fast qtr mile save your money and buy a Bike.
Agreed, and to be honest I'm not that keen on that Nova regardless of it's 1/4 performance, its still a nova.

You can stick a cherry on a turd and fire it out of cannon at 200mph, yes it's fast but it's still a turd. :p

god how pedantic you are.

it looks crap, it IS crap, its STILL a Nova, it would handle like a barge, and its totally and utterly impractical.

ITS CRAPPPPP get over it.

If I had a fiat panda that could do an 11sec 1/4 mile it would STILL BE CRAP.

Argue the toss all you want. I dont care one way or the other!

Uh huh....

A TVR Tuscan is impractical, doesn't make it crap. And besides which, this Nova is a drag strip car - it doesn't have to have the handling prowess of a Caterham, or look as nice as a Ferrari. Anything else you're struggling to understand princess? I know it's complicated having to look past the "OMGZZZZ ITZ A NOVA!!!!11111oneoneone" thing that a lot of people have going on, but if you can for one second get around that fact and note that this particular example does the job it's designed for bloody well then I'd be rather happy.

*sigh*

1000cc stock motorbike your looking at 10 seconds at 140mph

Mini meet at some point sounds cool, i could host that at my home!!

anyways back to this polished t....Nova :D

So the nova is pointless if you want a fast 1/4 mile get a bike, not waste your money on a Nova thats slower and cant be used on the roads.

Thread closed lol.

Roffle!!ONE.

Plus, I believe that cost didn't cost much to build. The engine itself was £30.

It means swallow your pride and admit you know sweet fa.

Something you've clearly done a lot then.

Ive never had to do that.

I can see how our opinions differ, i do not consider an 11sec 1/4 mile panda to be cool. Any thug can get his mate to stick in god knows what engine into a crappy shell to turn it into a 1/4 mile machine.

Unless its really well engineered, or is a great car to begin with, I find all this a bit boring. It was ok the first time it was done, but theres been SO many heaps/sleepers/"cool projects" done its deeply unimpressive.

I don't think so, they would need to be pretty competant mechnanics for a start, they'd also have to have patience and dedication to do these types of projects.

I just know when to shut up and not pass guess work off as fact when i don't know anything about a subject, input is fine but coming in swearing saying its **** without reason aint on tbh.

*Yawn* You know what else is "deeply unimpressive"? People rubbishing someone's efforts at building a drag car when they know absolutely smeg-all about the time and effort put into the build.

BTW - an 11sec 1/4mile capable Panda sounds awesome :D
