looks like Novalogic are messing with us.

Black hawk down was THE best game for snipering :p

Indeed, the points system was immense, If you were sprinting and hit a moving enemy in the head at 200 yards you got like 300 points.

Shame it never happened =p I was on 56k.

Loved that game, my cd key got stolen and I couldn't get it back, shame really.

I too loved DF2. It was amazing how big the maps are, and with the voxel technology used for the grass, you could actually hide in it. I have fond memories of massive online games and working my way to a position to snipe from.

Thats one thing I loved about the game, and something thats missing from current open terrain 3D engines such as those used in games like BF2.

The DF games were my first online experience with any game really, loved them to bits :D

Hopefully the new one doesn't disappoint.

woot :D i used to love playing task force dagger online :D was amazing... coudl never get the single player missions tho.... go through, destroy everything, kill everyone but not heli to come get me :(

but bring on the new game :D

Great memories of playing black hawk down and joint ops. I always liked the communties around those games. Do people still play joint ops?

i still play it from time to time. Not as many people in there these days but still good fun.Dont think i could ever give up that game. But i am looking forward to this new 1.

little bit of new on this game, oddly enough appearing on a Czech distributer's website first,

Description

Set in the north-west region of Central America (near future in Colombia & Venezuela) “Delta Force: Angel Falls” takes the player to the rural, sparsely populated, jungle areas of this exotic locale. Avoiding the over-exposed Middle Eastern settings; the South American environment provides a premise which is naturally beautiful and full of new millennium conflicts.

Marginal governments, involved in local expansionism, continually scuffle with one another and with major global powers. Complicating the setting, drug cartels have evolved beyond money and violencedriven entities to political forces rivaling established governments. Influenced by current events, the game is both topical and novel.

The sometimes local philosophy of “your enemy is my friend and your friend is my enemy” gives rise to a multitude of ever-changing alliances and conflicts which drive the game’s rapid action and easy-to-digest back-story. The culmination of the conflict takes place in the Angel Falls area of Venezuela providing both a spectacular setting and a surprise ending.

very underwhelmed, hope those are early screenies

Damnit, "up to 200 combatants in online play" so is it a basicly another JO remake? :/ that game was utter crap, I want another BHD style game

awesome, loved BHD.

Remember getting a 200m+ headshot sniper kill, while standing and he was running. Was awarded about 80 points for that online, the scoring system was great! got points for crazy things.

Single player was epic too, apart from the AI, which was very poor and ruined most of it and team mates wouldn't co-operate.

80 points? the points didn't vary dependant on whether you were moving/standing/distance, you got set points for a kill and an extra few points for a head shot - also maybe varied dependent on weapon (between rifle / pistol / explosives etc)

By the time I stopped playing that game I was getting a guaranteed 60%+ head shots per game (used to swear like mad at all the people who used nothing but the grenade launcher as I would see it as "unskillful" :p)
