no problems with Sky LLU here, 11mbit down 1mbit up. constantly withing 100k/sec of my max in p2p and web based downloads. Youtube 1080 streams instantly. Pings aren't the best 50/60s usually but I dont online game that often. Using dlink router supplied, wifi speeds are crud but fast enough for what I need.

You can ring up and get the ping lowered.

I switched from BT (sick and tired of the throttling and slow speeds at peak) last week to Sky Max.....so far very good.

Still waiting for my speed to settle, but on 9.9meg/1.0meg atm (I was fixed at 4 meg with BT).

Been a breeze so far, very impressed with their service up to now.

I'm still waiting for my MAC code, despite giving UKFSN a nudge. Jason is normally very responsive so I'm surprised it's taken this long.

Hmm, wondering how to spoof the MAC address with a Draytek 120 and a Time Capsule if I need to.

does the 120 not just act as a modem with the device attached to that doing the authentication...? so you would need to spoof the mac address on the connecting device..? pretty sure this is how I use to do it when using a vigor 100, spoofed the mac on my pfsense box.

Bad luck mate, was e-mailed mine from Jason within about 2 hours :D
Just finished the 10 day training period went from 3700 down to 3072 and is now the finished line synch
I am well chuffed at the moment with ukfsn on the BT adsl i was struggling to get and hold a 1500 connection towards the end
With an attenuation of 60 I guess this is all i can get?
Maybe i will try my dg834 gt and tweek ;) the line sometime but i am very happy at the moment

I regret that i hadn't moved to sky when i had the chance. As soon as I said I was moving for another provider, BT gave me a discount, but the benefit doesn't outweigh the shortcomings of BT service. I'm definately moving to sky next time. Next year that is...

Also moved to sky from bt, so much cheaper because we have the tv package. Broadband working well and the customer service helped diagnose a local wiring problem. Once that was fixed moved me on to their gamer profile right away. Only thing I will say is my friends on virgin have much better pings, trying to knife them in cod is a nightmare.

Sky but use your own router. Technically you're violating the t&c but I fail you see how anyone competent that has made their own router, or just ran dd-wrt/tomato, could live with skys. Hardware is fine, dg834gts are solid, but feature set is horrible. High time-out values make torrent difficult, or eve just checking steam servers.

You're account name and pwrd are stored in the router they issue, the idea being people are forced into using it. Exported configs are plain text, like most routers :)

Still waiting for my MAC code, this is awful (and quite unusual) service from Jason. I even chased Enta a couple of days ago and they've pushed him but nothing has arrived.

Still using my Sky Router here and no problems with torrents or games. it is a netgear DG834GT though!

I've just ordered sky bb. The black router is here just awaiting activation date which is Friday.

ADSL LLU is on my exchange but how do I know if I have it or not? I've got the unlimited package.

Sorry for the noob question I've been on cable for years so new to adsl.

Recently moved from Sky to BT, but that was only because Sky aren't doing an FTTC product in my area yet and so my speed went from 3.5mb to 37mb in a morning. If they had offered FTTC I would have stuck with them. Three years and no real problems, and even on the couple of occasions when my speed suddenly dipped I was able to get past their first-line support in india to UK-based third tier quite easily, and they were very good.

No traffic shaping, totally unlimited and cheap (if you have Sky TV and Sky Talk). I'm hoping they'll be offering FTTC by the time my 18month BT contract ends so I can go back to them.

if you're on Sky Unlimited then you'll be on ADSL 2+ immediately.

When you plug the Router in and switch it on, don't touch it, no matter what it does for about 15-20 minutes. Apparently they download a firmware update the first time you connect it.

MAC code finally received after intervention from ENTA, I'm all signed up with Sky and just waiting for further details from them regarding my activation date.

Information on this is well keep,
I know at this point its still being tested by 60 well picked staff members and its seems to be going ok,

There was a site you could sign up to test it but seems this is removed now,
Others than that not seen and other info on it.
