Now's your time AMD

@Gibbo will you be getting any Vega64 MSI Air boosts in? I can only find 2 places in the uk that have them in stock.

Nope.

No one can match the Devil price and the Devil is the best Vega 64 on the market as it’s cooler is in another league.

We won’t be stocking others unless they give us a price as good or better than Powercolor.

If you could get some nice prices for the upcoming LG34GK950F also to pair it with.... :D

Understandable, thanks for getting back to me.

would be funny if AMD announced there current cards ray trace capable and almost as competant as RTX lmao

Who knows. Might justify all those transistors in the damn chips that don't seem to be fully working normally. :p

But that wouldn't surprise me, and AMD has the tendency manufacturing GPUs and not releasing the full spec :D
Examples
a) Hawaii. (R9 290/390). Microsoft decided to announce DX12 support, async compute etc months after the release of the GPU due to Mantle threat.
What AMD did? Published a driver supporting DX12 & hardware async compute on a card that was released before those things were even specified by Microsoft!!!!
And we see how nicely Hawaii has matured in DX12 gaming over the years, especially the 8GB cards.
Nvidia still to fully support DX12 and hardware async compute....

b) When HDMI 2.1 was announced Jan 2018, and specs released, suddenly AMD came out saying that all RX cards will support HDMI 2.1 (including VRR) with a driver update later in the year!!!!
wtf. Is the hardware there somehow and not used, labeled HDMI 2.0b currently?
Nvidia seems isn't going to support HDMI 2.1 as it will kill gsync. Because VRR is mandatory on HDMI specs.

c) Nvidia announced Ray Tracing in Gameworks, for Volta or newer cards. What AMD did? Announced that the long forgotten RadeonRays will receive a major update to 2.0 version.
Reminding everyone that this thing existed since 2013 and all Hawaii and later cards support it (both version), in addition "here is the documentation how to make it work on CUDA".
Which includes Pascal, Maxwell etc cards that even Nvidia doesn't want to support ray tracing on!!!!!

So who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if AMD pulled out a driver next year adding Pci-E 4.0 support on the Vega 10 on the X570 motherboards.

More complete lies, this just gets tiresome. You know, the more time you say it doensn't make it become any less false.

Sigh.

You want also HDR benchmarks for your Titan Xp? Because I forgot to mention better HDR support on the AMD cards.

Also is already common knowledge that activating DX12 on AMD cards they either gain perf or remain the same, while Nvidia cards are losing performance. Want that to post it also?

Sigh at you as well using a old AMD sponsored title to prove your point.

Ohhh my, you try to prove your point on a AMD sponsored title that nobody cared about? lmao

@JediFragger
When comes to Nvidia you are both very dismissive for a long time.

So this is old , as the whole article from computerbase.de is old even if it is current products? Polaris and Pascal?
This is AMD sponsored title because it implements hardware Async Compute and Nvidia cannot do it? (because that is the argument here)
Yet FC5 is fine even as AMD sponsored title because it is not using async compute?

Other DX12 vs DX11 benchmarks are not right also because xyz?
Even the most resent for WoW benchmark was not relevant because of something....(one of you two dismissed it a month ago)

The HDR vs SDR -Vega vs 1080 is not relevant as XYZ could re responsible to the drivers a month ago.
Yet the appalling performance of the Titan Xp on HDR + Gsync this weeks benchmark, brushed under the carpet?

Get a grip.

Oh no I entire agree with you here, the HDR performance/drivers from nVidia is absolutely pathetic and deserves to get beaten by Vega! Especially when nVidia (via partners) have just released their ultra premium HDR 4k monitors!! Absolutely crap from them (esp if it is mainly a driver issue, they've been slacking for a while on that front).

But is one of the few titles that implemented hardware async compute though.
So for your point to be valid, you show a bench that gives 2 fps increase using Async over not using it. Well blow me over!!! DX12 really showing great gains there lol

The old chestnut that Pascal can't do DX12 or ASC (not that's the difference is massive)

You well know if someone posted a benchmark from a Nvidia title in which Nvidia was faster AMD fan like yourself would cry foul.

Sure Maxwell didn't have full support (not that it needed it to be on top) but Pascal does, it can be argued its less effective than AMD's implementation but that about it.

The trend I saw last year or two was that titles that where DX12 only ran better overall on resent Nvidia hardware (GOW4 comes to mind) heck with driver updates and what not Nvidia performs better in the AMD DX12 Fan benchmark AoS now. The performance is so close now card for card on both camps you really can't tell the difference, guru does a good set of DX12 benchs when they do there card reviews.

They prob with the likes of DX12/Vulkan is its so much more dependant the dev to squeeze the most out of the API than the driver. So it much harder to make sweeping statements like the one you and other makes.

In short the whole “Nvidia is crap at DX12” has a much weight to it as “Vega 64 is better then GTX 1080”

and yes its AMD time to shine as I and others are not going to pay the taking the **** Turning prices. The issue is AMD has nothing.

I very much doubt a 7nm vega is going to change much, maybe have something on the 1080ti level. Navi is 2019 and is only going to be mid range until 2020. They really need to dump GCN if they want to hit back at Nivida and maybe Intel depending on what there GPU is like

Its odd that I'm hoping Intel will smash it with there GPU's as they are looking like the only challengers.
