In memory of a top bloke, mad climber and my best buddy who checked out not too long ago near this time of year. Cheers, you mad ****, get one in for me. :)

Anyone who reads this and walks up to Cwm Idwal, say hi to Si. That is his heaven and where he lay.

When we were much youger he introduced me to serious "rock climbing" and after a few summer months of climbing various outdoor routes, most of which he led, he took me on my first solo climb (no aids, no rope). A ~350ft (edit: 440ft, who knew?) route on the Idwal Slabs called "Hope".

He's now been laid to rest there, in the cwm. He'd chuckle at the irony.
