NR200 Owner's Thread

as a first time builder I thought its going to be very hard so I have been here for months and thanks to all of you I knew what to do
my specs
ryzen 5 5600x
asus rog strix b550i
scythe fuma 2 (works well with tg panel)
adata xpg sx8200 pro ( nobody buy it since adata changed the controller with a slower one and I bought the new version:()
corsair sf750
msi rtx 3060 ti gaming x trio
g skill trident z neo 16gb 3600mhz cl16

I also added some argb strip from the top to the right side of the case
Y9q6KAb.jpg

thermals (ambient mid to high 20s)
gpu
idle 32C
gaming 55C-60C
cpu
idle 35-40C
gaming 55C-60C
prime95 65C
since I don't have bottom fans I use the gpu fans at 30% on idle and 60% when gaming

I have 2 issues
I think the msi gaming x trio was designed to be used with the included sag bracket and but i can't use it what should I do? because there is a noticeable sag.

secondly for some reason my ryzen 5 5600x is not hitting 4.6 all cores, i test it on cinebench r23 multi thread test also when playing cyberpunk 2077, all cores will hit maximum 4.1

Make sure PBO is on in bios or ryzen master for those clock speeds.

I also got the same M.2 from Adata as you but not sure if mine is the new 'slower' controller. But lets be real...its still stupid fast. I mean in the lab tests with the theoretical speeds sure it might be slower, but in real world use I doubt we even notice.

Also seeing the 5600x temps making me kinda wish I kept my 5600x instead of going 5900x...I'll figure it out one of these days.

Some people put a lego brick under the GPU...I 3d printed a spacer for mine.

To fix the GPU sag in mine, I actually am using one the display port protectors that came with the ASUS TUF 3080. I wedged it between the bottom slim fan at the far end and the GPU and it was a perfect fit to lift the GPU up 1-2mm and straighten it out.

Nice work. I really need to rip mine apart and re-cable everything. I made a total mess of mine.

Hopefully I'll have my GPU soon, so I'll do that at the same time. Put two Coolermaster SickleFlow ARGB fans in the top, and going to put the other two at the bottom for now as well.

Finally made it! I've read the whole thread. Great community and great info: thanks for all the contributions.

I'm stunned that I've gotten to the end of this thing and, despite Machines & More raving about it, I don't think anyone went with the Noctua U12A. I know it doesn't fit with the TG panel (which matters for a lot of people) but it seems to be the clear best performer for the vented panel.

...which is making me second-guess my decision to go with it. I'm looking at a 5600x and maybe a 3060Ti in the future (currently a *gulp* 1660 Super). I'm going for max quietness and cooling, even though the case will be under the desk (width limitations). Given I have to import whatever I buy, the cost difference shrinks for me... and it's best that I get it right on the first try.

Is it just the cost?

With the 5600x being a 65w TDP I had no problems keeping it quiet even under load. Ran it with my Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi and it never past the low 70s. Using the TG panel and (2) fans as exhaust. One of the sickleflows had a weird vibration to it so I replaced both with NF-A12x25s. Honestly if it wasnt for that vibration/reverberation sound at ~1100rpm the sickleflows were darn quiet.

I'd say most 120mm style coolers will keep that 5600x pretty cool. M&M raves about the ID Cooling 224xt. People here love the Mugen 5 and Fuma 2 (might be tough to fit with TG).

Impressive to sit and read 100+ pages haha.

I have two pbo options one in ai tweaker other in amd overclocking I only tried the first one
I also tried pbo in ryzen master with both I get extra 100 mhz all cores but still won't hit 4.6 all cores

Isn't the MSI trio one of the biggest 3060 cards? Any issues fitting it? Were you able to put in the bottom fans?

Ha ha - I love geeking out on tech so the thread was a treat.

Yeah - M&M has been talking up the ID Cooling 224xt (even over the 225). He calls the U12A a $40 cooler with 2 NF-A12x25s included, which is a good way to look at it... but since I see several people buying a cheaper cooler and then adding the Noctua fans later, I think I'll just go straight to the U12A. The overall cost will be about the same in the end.

Once I determine which B55 mobo to go with (need the the lower socket position allowing for 25mm top fans), then I'm looking forward to the build. I'll keep everyone posted.

Finally Received my custom cables and new fans.

Hey guys - been googling but can't find a definitive answer:

1. Can you get the mesh panels for this case in the UK?
2. Will a 140mm AIO fit in this case?

The NR200P version that is for sale in the UK (whenever it comes back into the country) includes both the mesh and TG side panels. 140mm fan/AIO does fit on the side mount bracket according to CM's website/specs.

it's 223mm 2.7 slot beast that uses two 8 pins
I had to remove the bottom of the case to install it.
I can't use the included sag bracket but others suggested to use a logo or something similar to solve this

TBH I think it's simply that most people are using the glass panel. And of the few that aren't, most are using an AIO (usually a 280mm). Plus, the Mugen 5 and Fuma 2 are almost half the price, and give the option of using the glass later.

Yeah kind of silly to buy the ID cooling and then put (2) NF-a12s on it...then you're in U12A pricing...so may as well have gone that route. Though I think the u12A doesnt fit as easily with the TG as the ID cooling does. Making me rethink just adding a NFa12 to my H7 to lower sound signature...haha.

Asus B550 has one of the lower socket placements. Only complaint about it is the minimal USB's on the rear and only (1) case fan header.

Oh right also dont expect the CPU to stay at those boost clocks...those are only clocks it will hit from time to time. Its not like intel IIRC where it maintains that clock speed the whole time.

If you watch any reviews involving the Zen 2/3 CPUs testers are usually locking ALL core clock speeds when doing their benchmarks. And even then, they typically are a few 100mhz lower than the MAX boost clock.

Sure I see 4.9mhz with my 5900x but its little a burst...never sustained.

I was thinking of suggesting the asrock b550i gaming it also has lower cpu socket but 3 pwm fan headers 1 cpu and 2 chassis.
I saw some builds in reddit with fuma 2 and tg panel
