NR200 Owner's Thread

I was thinking of suggesting the asrock b550i gaming it also has lower cpu socket but 3 pwm fan headers 1 cpu and 2 chassis.
I saw some builds in reddit with fuma 2 and tg panel
Yeah That was my 2nd option...I'm kind of a Asus junkie though haha. Have had ASrock products in the past and no issues with them. Solid products as well. Plus cheaper I think. Not sure if they have the BIOS flashback though

Started building it last night. My fingers aren't as dexterous vs. 8yrs ago when I last built a PC, so didn't manage to finish it. But really liking the little thoughtful touches like the same screws being used everywhere, and that little cutout on the PSU shroud to let you route the front io cable through.

How do I upload pics here?

Whats the fan like that comes with it, im thinking of replacing it with a p12 fan along with the case fans aswell with p12s?

Very good for a slim fan, better than Noctua's NF-A15 in my opinion and to my ears but it is noticeable at high RPM

I have a P12 on mine now and its silent at idle and whisper quiet under load its definitely a quiet and affective combination

The P12 on the Big Shuriken seems fine but the exhausts make an annoying resonating noise at certain RPMs which I think is because they are hanging from the top of the case as I didn't notice this noise in my Meshify C which also had Arctic P series fans installed so I'm considering changing them all for Scythe fans and trying those in the new year

I hope you let us know how you get on with the shuriken fans, but it does sound like the p12's as case fans will be great and maybe keep the big shuriken 3 fan then. I have narrowed my cpu choices down to either a 5600x or a 5900x and a gpu will be a 6800xt, dont plan on overclocking the cpu but will probably undervolt the graphics card a little. A relatively quiet system would be good as i do plan on running it off my tv in the lounge so i would rather hear my games than the case.

EDIT: if they are slim fans does that mean they cant go in the top of the case?

read thru this whole thread yesterday, great read, some nice builds, hopefully getting my case tomorrow, have a few questions, currently have a DA2, but i upgraded to a 5950x and saphire 6800Xt nitro +
just about keeping on top of the thermals!! hence why im going for the NR200P, but not sure weather to fit a 280 AIO or go for a air cooler, my worry is the 6800Xt is abeast!! and theres a lot of hot air going around the case, so would a AIO better ?

also on the air cooler side i notice a few people had gone with the noctua nh-d14 is there any reason the D15 would not work as well ?

The D15 doesn’t fit. Not by a long way.

The only ‘14’ cooler that fits is the top down one (c14s?). The fan will also likely be choked by the TG panel so you might swell go AIO at that point.

You’ll not really get much overclocking out of a 5950X. I’d suggest an AIO personally if you are into that sort of thing.

oh ok must have red that wrong re the D14 then thought it fitted with the mesh side on,

re the 5950x yeah im not interesting in overclocking that, just be happy keeping it cool and using as is!

but re AIO yeah happy to go that route, was cooling my 3600 with a H80i, but that wont fit now with the new GPU etc, so hence upgrading case and cooler

I doubt the D14 would fit either, there is only just enough room for a 12cm fan.

It’s the U12S that just squeezes in under the mesh and the C14 fits being a top down cooler.

Not mine.

There are a few people who have made a D15 work with the mesh panel by making holes for the heat pipes. While it works...no one seems to report on temps. One of those cases where you go 'if only CM made it 5mm-10mm taller we'd have so many more Air cooler options!!'

Side note, turned off PBO with my 5900x. Running CP2077 now runs avg 72-73c so the system is a bit quieter. My darn mechanical HDD external enclosure is still louder than the system...really need to get a NAS drive and hide those HDDs.

yep, well thats fair enough, im not making holes in my side panel for it, the case is what is, i wish i had abit more boot space in my car, but it doesnt, so, happy to try and squeeze in what i can as long as its all inside when the doors are shut,

re PBO (not sure if that was aimed at me or coincidence), mines turned off on my 5950x, and it drop temps to the low 70's in game, so happy enough for now, hope AMD brings something to the table soon, as having to disable features on a new CPU seems silly !!! id just as well stuck with my 3600!

I love that CM are releasing the files for 3D printing various parts. I know that at least one person has tried adding 3x240mm radiators. Maybe with a modified fan holder at the top it will be possible to do and add fans to all 3 rads without altering the exterior.

What do you mean, what are you hoping AMD will provide?

sorry maybe im under the wrong impression, but reading posts here and on AMD forums, some people are struggling with high idle temps especially with the 5950x, including myself, there seem to be various tweaks to bring these temps down, AMD are holding back on releasing agesa 1.1.8.0 bios update, for whatever reason, but thats supposed to include precision boost overdrive 2.0 which incorporates undervolting, so im hoping that brings something to the table in lowering my temps !

I see, I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks for letting me know.

Hey guys, this is my nr200p build that I planned for past months.

Build:
case: cooler master nr200p
cpu: 5800x@4,95 auto-oc 35*C idle / 65*C sc stress / 84*C mc stress
gpu: 6800xt
psu: Corsair sf750
mobo: Asus rog strix x570i
ram: Crucial Ballistix RGB 3600/16@docp 2x16gb
ssd: Samsung 970 Evo M.2 1TB
cpu cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 black rgb v.
fans: 6x arctic p12 pwm pst
cables: extensions gelid red
lightning: nzxt hue+

I enabled PBO, enabled SAM, loaded docp, adjusted the fan curve a little below "silent".
Sits stable at auto OC from ryzen master, r23 mc 15175pts / sc 1606pts u/64-84*C.

I just wanna add that this cable management was a #$%@!&.
