NR200 Owner's Thread

Do you know which specific cable is needed for that?

Edit: this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232382445538
Sorry should have been clearer (blame the mulled wine). He's using the USB header on the motherboard to connect to the USB connector of the screen for power, and then a separate HDMI cable connected to the graphics card at the back and routed back INTO the case for data feed. What I prefer is a solution that only requires a USB connection (so to avoid having to route the HDMI cable). For that you need a portable screen that uses USB for power AND video signal. The smallest one of these I can find is about 11" which is obviously far too big for the case.

Season's greetings, folks :D

I see builds with lots of fans but no mention of fan controllers. Is everyone running off of motherboard headers? Are fan controllers essentially all the same? Any recommendations?

I'm running my fans and lights through a corsair commander pro. It's a tight fit and a pain in the bum to get the cables routed, but personally I like the unit and the control the software gives over fans. Personally not a liker of bios controlled fans, but each to their own

Part of it depends on your mobo. Some ITX mobo's have 2 case fan headers so you could get 4 fans handled with that with (2) y-splitters.

I have seen a few fan controllers being mounted on the backside of the front panel when people have >4 fans or only a single case fan header.

For me, my Asus B550 Strix only has (1) case fan header so I used a y-splitter to run the two top fans as exhaust. I don't run bottom fans.

I run 6 fans (top, middle and bottom) because I wanted to really. My board (aorus z390) has 2 headers. So a fan controller is the way it had to be. It is mounted on the reverse of the front panel in the gap between that and the psu shroud. It's a tight fit but manageable so long as the fans don't come out of the controller. When that happens I swear a lot

I run the lian li uni controller it’s mounted to the inside of the front of the chassis. If mount it where the SSDs are intended to go but I’m currently running two in there.

Hello!
I planned to build a new setup, with the following components:
NR200p (for sure !) + 3600x + Mugen 5 + 3060Ti
I've couple of questions regarding the Mother Board : I've seen that the Gigabyte B550i tests and reviews are quite good.
Nevertheless, I can see that B550i Asus is everytime used here.
Will the Mugen 5 fit by using the Gigabyte Mobo ? (I plan to use the TG)

Main problem now will be the component availabilities...

Thanks !

Yes, fits perfectly. See here for some useful tips.

I'm such an idiot. I already add this video in my favorite for the cable management, but I did not realise that the mobo was a Gigabyte B550i...
For information, I may modify the NR200 and invert it :

If I do it, I'll post my build once completed (but it will not be before end of Jan, since PSU and 3060ti are not available)
