NR200 Owner's Thread

@McPhee I forget but are you using the TG or mesh panel?

Changed my H7 fan to a NF-A12x25. Temps didnt change...but sound signature improved when running in the mid 70s or greater. Waiting for AMD to provide some undervolting options.

What about 5800X? That's what I've got.

5800x has a similar TDP as the 5900x...not familiar enough with AIOs to comment on how well it'll keep it cool.

Sounds like a nice upgrade from your G3258!

There are several tower air cooler options that'll show the RAM sticks just fine and keep the CPU cool enough. Fuma 2, Mugen 5, Cryorig H7, Noctua u12s. Top down coolers probably better with the mesh panel.

I'm running a stock 5900X under a 240mm AIO (side mounted) and it will readily hit 90C in more intensive games like Modern Warfare on maxed out graphics settings @1440p. My ambient is about 30C. So it's really going to depend on what games, settings or other workloads you're running on it.

My NR200P arrived yesterday, amazing case for the money, i did pay more , but was the only way to get one this side of christmas! but still a lot for my money compared to my DA2! and all the accessories you need come with this

the Cherry on the cake was supposed to be the delivery of my Artic freezer 280 today! but got email last night late saying delayed! picked in warehouse, but not enough staff/time to dispatch it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr see what happens today i guess 1st world problems and all,

Not really. Not without modding or using a small radiator (92mm, 120mm, or 140mm).

As for air coolers, most big tower coolers block the RAM on an ITX board, unless you swap the fan to the rear side. Doing that opens up a lot more options. I just use a top-down cooler; Big Shuriken 3, which is proving to be excellent. And I know @Relentless81 is having a similar experience.

Can confirm the Big Shuriken 3 is performing surprisingly well in my set up, I went through 5 air coolers before settling on this, there is something about the air flow In this case that seems to favour top down coolers in my experience

Finished mine a few days ago. In my excitement forgot to flash the B550 motherboard to work with Ryzen 5000, and spent a day thinking it was an UEFI issue (and then 48hr sin bin for mentioning a competitor). Haven't even peeled off the plastic on the glass yet.
Abit annoyed that the Zotac Holo has the power plug in the middle of the card, that makes it quite hard to route the power cable properly. But otherwise not a bad effort for a first PC build in 8yrs(?).

Edit: And nope... still can't get image embedding to work

Depends on the board but doesn't in mine the ram is completely clear which is a b550i

Which board are you using? Can you upload a photo of you're using TG please?

I would try to mount a screen on that PSU bracket for temps.

Yeah have considered that, although every screen I looked at needed a HDMI cable, and I'd rather not have to route something from the back of the case to the front..Have you seen one that only needed USB? That wouls be ideal running off a USB header

I don't think you can with usb, unless C? Also wouldn't you have it going from the inside going out of the back?

Will that block RGB ram view?

Big Shuriken is designed to not interfere with RAM. The heatsink is offset toward the back of the case, and will overlap rear IO heatsinks. These heatsinks may need to be removed on certain boards.

It's one of the upsides of this cooler versus, for example, a Noctua L12 or C14.
