NR200 Owner's Thread

No need to say thanks! We're happy to help and honestly listening to the feedback is super important. Also thankyou on the pre-order too!

I look after the channel side of things so its a little different for me hearing the more technical feedback but I can always pass it on and/or get tie right people listening plus i'm curious too.
I will have one (maybe both) case designers join the forums tomorrow for sure and then we can really dig into the technical questions.

Regarding your question, I've seen a Hyper 212 Black installed and you can actually see this too with a review from Techtesters on Youtube (Skip to 7:17: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Boh1uxgcp_8&t=1s) which should give you an idea of how it will look with this setup :)
Dimensions for Hyper 212 Black are: (L X W X H) 120 x 79.6 x 158.8 mm
But, lets keep that question for the designers to give more weight :)

Official clearances are 155mm for the vented panel and 153mm for the glass panel.

We know the Hyper 212 Black fits with the vented panel. We know from another video that Noctua's U12 coolers (157mm) don't fit with the glass panel. What we don't know is what the actual maximum clearance is with the glass panel fitted. Is there another 3-4mm of clearance above spec, per the vented panel? Or is it a firm 153mm? Or is it somewhere in between? This

Given there are very few 120mm fan tower coolers at 153mm or below, it would be handy to know the unofficial maximum. The selection of tower coolers at 155mm, for example, is far better than at 153mm.

Hey Ron! can you ask if the Arctic Liquid freezer II 280 would fit? (because the tubes come straight out of the cpu block, with the thicker radiator, it can be tricky to fit one in an ITX case.)

Terixko, that's what I want to know as well, would love to put a Liquid Freezer II 280 in it!

In regards to tower/air coolers, have a look at the below youtube video as well. (Around 1:54)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r834UqGdYVM

Noctua NH-U12A - 156mm - Fits with vented/perforated panel, just about, but does not fit using the tempered glass panel. Probably more fitting 153mm or lower.
Above Noctua also doesn't fit if you want to use the side bracket. Then it probably becomes more like 150mm

Yes, if this case could fit the Arctic liquid freezer 280, that would be the ultimate CPU cooling solution which is not custom water loop, that would be amazing indeed!

Good video, I liked his example he found of laying an ATX PSU in the case -

I'm going to go for something similar to this with a bit of modding. I'll move the PSU down slightly and mount a 240mm AIO up top.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay in getting this back but I wanted to be sure. The reviews confused myself too.

So speaking to the team, its best to follow the official spec list and use this as final compatibility for coolers.
So only up to a 153mm cooler will fit with the TG panel.
For the vented panel, up to a 157mm will fit

I have taken the feedback back to the team in regards to the compatibility with the TG side panel as mentioned above, there is a much wider selection of coolers available at 155mm rather than 153mm..

Also, our media samples have just arrived so you can expect UK reviewers to get their hands on it by next week

Thanks for the update. Will have to wait until post-release for people to test individual cooler compatibility then, I guess.

Looking forward to more reviews. English language content for this case is really thin on the ground right now.

I will inquire and check back here asap :)

Arctic liquid freezer 2 280mm/240 white edition I would like to see for sale.

Thanks for the update @Ron_CM looking forward to this case :)
Ron, do you have any info on the

JkBqEnp.jpg.png

I would like one.

Sure! We're excited for our entire Gold PSU range as it has been something we haven't had a massive focus on in the UK. We'll be launching a new MWE Gold V2 range, V Gold White power supply (white in colour) and SFX Gold all around the same time.

In regards to specifically the SFX ones, the launch date is set to the 25th Aug BUT this is not set in stone yet so dont quote me!
We will have 550W, 650W, 750W and 850W arriving with current ETA of 28th August for stock.
The launch date is going to be around when stock arrives. If there is issues with logistics then it may be delayed.

I have yet to fill in the UK RRP on this, which will be done and released on Monday :)
If you have specific or technical questions I can of course check and let you know.

thank you Ron! i've seen several people asking the same question (Arctic liquid freezer II 280 compatibility).
I think the 240 would fit no problem, if you put the GPU riser and put the radiator at the bottom. You can only put a 280mm radiator on the vented side and not at the bottom, so the compatibility will impact which cooler i will buy : The arctic 280 or 240.

Well, we are now close to the first week of Aug:)
Coolermaster got some good Liquid AIOs,
but no "White" or silver/Grey 240/280mm rads.

COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID ML240P MIRAGE ARGB AIO CPU COOLER + FREE MASTERFAN SF240R ARGB FANS Oh this looks nice

Be a cracker of a show in this case.

ML200R Also :) Tempting, what they say at the end of this review

With the MasterLiquid ML240R RGB, Cooler Master has delivered a 240mm AIO cooler that makes us ask whether a 360mm cooler is warranted, even on a highly overclocked, high-TDP processor. Its ability to perform as well as (and even slightly better than) a larger cooler should make for a very interesting debate in PC enthusiast forums. Feel free to voice your opinions in the comments below.

Trouble is using an AIO like them in this case,
would have to be installed in a way that lets you see all the RGB goodness & works with thermals inside the case.

Hey guys,

I have with me "cmxiao" who will be able to answer some of the more techy questions.
He's currently trying to see if we work out compatibility of the Arctic cooler mentioned above by giving some measurements based on the coolers we have in office (ML240P Mirage) but I will let him answer as he will know best.

I'm organising the "vendor Rep" tag for the forum and that should pop up on Monday.

Hopefully we can answer some of the more pressing questions you all have and also take in the feedback :)

thanks! can you show cmxiao this picture?

someone was able to put it in an cougar QBX but only with a slim fan.The case is smaller than the nr200
so it might be possible.

Hi there. Everybody,

My name is Xiao wei Li and I'm the R&D lead for Case BU.
Let me try to answer some of the questions regarding the support. For any availability related questions please ask my colleague: @Ron_CM

So first about the cooler height. Even though our clearance support is 155mm for the steel panel version as you can see in the reviews, a U12A/S does fit. That has to do with safety margins. So we cannot officially condone coolers larger than 155mm for the steel panel, but we won't certainly won't mind you pushing it to the limit :)

Secondly about the arctic cooler. We don't have this physical product at our office so we can't test it out for you, but the clearance from the CPU to the edge of the Radiator bracket is 148mm. So Pump + fitting making the bend + Radiator + fan should not exceed this size. It looks like it will be a tight fit. We have included fan grills with the included fans for the NR200, my suggestion would be to mount these in this position so in the worst case the tubes won't hit the fan blades.

Is the safety margin for the TG panel roughly the same number of mm over the official number? Appreciate the need for a safety margin, but it would be useful to know whether it's worth ordering certain coolers to test, or a complete waste of time and money. I don't mind testing stuff that might fit. I'd rather not test ones that definitely won't.

Just looked at the online PDF Manual, this case comes with the super easy Push mounting HDD/SSD System,
just screw the small metal pegs into the drive & push them into the small black rubber mount's.

Even more excited now:)

Yep, that's the way I saw it when looking at the manual. Lovely stuff indeed.
Now got to plan cable routing and where to put my commander pro (thinking on the other side of the SSD location).

Is it wrong to be starting at the PDF manual most of the day? :D
