NR200 Owner's Thread

I have a 240 aio on mine placed vertically in front of the glass panel.

GPU is a 2070 Super, temps 72 c whilst gaming, 60 with panel removed.

I am struggling to imagine this. Pictures please.

Also is that the GPU temperatures? What about CPU?
Sorry, had it wrong, that would never work. Aio at bottom. Graphics card vertical in front of glass. Those are graphics card temps.

Max cpu temp around 60c in games, that’s a 3700x at 4350 all core.

where do you even buy one of these?

Not in stock anywhere!
At the moment, in the future (time machine or patience required) or internationally if you like paying almost as much in shipping&/customs as the case costs. Overclocker may hopefully have stock come end of month, but who knows.

@Relentless81

I am confused about the Scythe Mugen 5 given your experience (thank you again for sharing the information). As for their other coolers - I keep seeing them in builds, but the results are not very consistent. So yeah I'm not sure how they are positioned Mugen > Katana > Ninja. If the Mugen is their best (I cannot find the Fuma 2 anywhere and it seems very risky it will fit) - I don't think I'll risk it based on what you told about it.

The Be quiet pure rock 2 black - I agree it's a risk to fit, but I saw it in a build and the person reported reasonable enough temps. Plus I really like how it looks and to me Be Quiet is a more familiar brand.

The Cryorig H7 - it was my first choice in terms of price, looks and availability, but yeah it's not performing well with AMD I guess.

ID-Cooling - The exact ones I'm looking at are ID-Cooling SE-224-XT ARGB, there is a V2 and a white version and they are listed as: 120×73×154mm, so should fit. Unfortunately this brand is totally new for me. I'll appreciate it if you have any feedback on these coolers.

Raijintek Leto Pro RGB - 127 x 76 x 155, my understanding on the height limits are: 153 official, 155-156 depending on manufacturing differences/mobo combo. So yes it's a risk again.

The Noctua coolers and fans are very expensive in my country and we will probably get the chromax version after several months. That's why it's low/missing on my list.

I saw a video from Machines & More and he started testing with the TG panel (confirming the u12s doesn't fit) and at the end he mentioned he will make more videos focusing on the TG panel and tower coolers, so I guess we can wait and see, instead of wasting money and time :)

@expr

Yeah I would wait for the next Machines and more video as he'll be using the Mugen 5 with TG panel and you'll have something else to go off with his results rather than just mine although I've found at least one of his results to not match what I've seen for example in one of his videos I'm sure he states that if you're using a tower cooler you need bottom intake fans but bottom intake fans on my setup make no difference to GPU or CPU temps with a tower cooler or a Wraith Prism

I haven't used any ID-Cooling coolers, I'm happy with my NH-U9S now and have another fan for it turning up today so I'll be seeing if that makes any further difference to temps later on today

Couple of points on the Mugen 5 it is extremely easy to fit, the easiest cooler I've ever fitted even better than Noctua, the plastic tubes that grip the back plate in place are genius and you don't have to put any pressure on the cooler or screws to mount and screw down the cooler it just sits in place and you screw it in. Its very quiet with the Kaze Flex fan. Its also cheap but unfortunately its matched or beaten by much smaller coolers in my setup so that's where the good stuff ends.

Good luck

To add confusion to the pot, my experience with the Mugen has been fine. Swapped the fan for a Noctua one for matched aesthetics.

I can keep the fan below 1000rpm pretty much the whole time so it is silent, with temperatures usually 60-65c when gaming. Occasional peak to 70-72c, but only for a few seconds.

Either way, it fits with the TG panel with the Aorus B550i motherboard, is very easy to fit, its silent, and it keeps the temperature well under control.

Aesthetically, I think the Noctua u9s chromax which Relentless has looks better and does a similar job, though maybe with a bit more noise. I can't really say on that last point.

I could hear it in Windows when browsing etc with the default fan profile but I've sorted than now, it only ramps up under load now and then it's drowned out by the case and GPU fans so I'm much happier with it

The big test will be when I eventually bag a 3080 GPU, or possibly the 6800XT depending on the reviews. My current 1070 isn't dumping anywhere near as much heat into the case which could impact the CPU temperatures.

Currently running an RTX 3090 deshrouded with 2 NF-A12*25 fans at the bottom, Ryzen 3700x cooled with NH-U12A, with 2 NF-S12 fans at the top in NR200P with mesh panel. Dead silent when idle, GPU 32C and CPU 40C.

When gaming, it's audible but not annoyingly noisy at all. My 3090 is also undervolted and it's running at 1850Mhz. Temp is around 75C.

Do you run the NH-U12A as a rear intake like in that Machines & More video?

Added a second fan to the NH-U9S today and no difference just more noise, in fact my CPU temp seems higher today for some reason by a couple of degrees

Needless to say the fan is going back for a refund as its much louder with a second fan

Swapped my rig to a 5800x, needless to say the NH-L12S I've been using really isn't cutting it for comfortable temperatures. 45-50 idle, 70 when gaming and 90 when running Cinebench or similar! Going to try a remount and see whether I can improve things, otherwise I'm going to have to cave and swap to a different cooler.
Spotted that the NH-U9S Chromax is now available, but starting to question whether I should maybe just stop using the window and swap to a side mounted 240mm rad...

Will ponder some more tomorrow, I may end up ordering that Alpenfohn Brocken EVO Advanced to try and if I don't like it I'll use it in a new pc I'm building with my old cpu/motherboard/ram instead of the stock AMD heatsink.

You might get slightly better temps with the NH-U9S but I find it can quite noisy, still kind of tempted to return it and just get a 120MM top down cooler that supports a full size fan even if the temps are higher I think I just want the system to be quiet. Definitely don't bother with more than one fan on the NH-U9S I just tested it and my temps went up!

What board do you have? Don't know if saw my post but I couldn't install the Alpenfohn Brocken Eco Advance with the B550i you have to use the Alpenfohn back plate and it wouldn't clear the motherboard mount, not a very good mounting system compared to the likes of Scythe and Noctua either but if you have a lower socket motherboard I would still think its worth trying
