Nurse arrested for murdering babies

Very little detail released regarding this and the deliberation period was massive. I would like to see this damning evidence that have been kept from the public.

I suspect there will be an appeal somewhere down the road, I would hate to see someone jailed for not doing it but without all the evedence being made public we will never know, I'm sorry I do not trust the CPS, not saying she didn't do it but this kinda stinks

I think it was always going to be the case of a guilty verdict, the lack of information being reported must have meant the CPS has done absolutely damning evidence and didn't want anything to go wrong with the case.
This is such a crazy case and so sad.

I'd have imagined they'd have looked at data from all other hospitals. If there's an unusual amount of baby deaths just to this hospital then there's obviously something suspect. They've obviously been able to autopsy the babies to determine they were killed by injecting air - which would have to have been deliberate.

I do wonder whether there will be any safety protocols updated to prevent a situation like this happening again.

Incredibly sad case.

The poor jurors must be drained, upset etc and due to confidentiality reasons, will find it difficult to get help, advice and support.

There must be something in place to help the jurors in these kind of trials

They looked at hospital records from other hospitals during Beverly Allitt’s case. I know the hospital Allitt worked at had a small children’s ward and at every death at the hospital- there was the same member of staff in each time- Allitt.

More detail and perhaps even evidence will come out in time, though it could potentially be dangerous to make that information public.

I'm not sure why you've come to the conclusion it stinks simply because you haven't been given the details yet.

Absolutely, virtually every major medical case I've been involved with hasn't given the full details.
It's very hard to sit there not responding to idiots on Social Media posting rubbish when I know the facts but I can't reply

Excuse me? What is that suppose to mean? This case has had very little details released. I do not trust the CPS, no definitive evidence as far as I know showed this women killing these babies, we all know the NHS is in a terrible state right now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together.

The CPS would have wanted a conviction on this, I am not saying it's the wrong verdict. I just want to know the fact of the case and as of now, the public know sweet FA

So, you think it stinks because you don't have the details but you're quite happy to make up stuff like this without being privvy to any of it?

The prosecution have indicated that they want 28 days to consider whether to seek a retrial on the six undecided counts (which relate to four babies). They have until 15 September to make this decision.

They certainly aren't going to be releasing evidence until the case is fully put to bed.

Make what up? of course the CPS would have wanted a conviction, but no concrete evidence that I know of showed her killing these babies. The NHS is in a terrible state at the moment, so many other factors could have happened here

The CPS put a case forward if they think its got a good chance of conviction. You do know a lot of cases don't have 'smoking guns'?

You sound a little tinfoil hat-ty, if you don't mind me saying.

What concrete evidence do you have that supports the CPS wanting a conviction?

A sad case.
I hope the evidence is damming as can't imagine going down for this and being innocent. Maybe because the deaths are just random outliers /bad luck.

Just cannot imagine what would posses someone to carry this out. She doesn't seem crazy.

Entitled to your opinion and I get it, but they have ruined this persons life and I just hope its not just on circumstantial evidence. It's quite plausible these babies died due to the NHS being in the worst state its ever been in.

Yes posting a link with no discussion really adds to the thread:rolleyes:

None of this witch hunt article suggest she killed these babies, of course now she has been found guilty every man and his dog are going to think that keeping some mementos and pictures of notes to the parents of the babies she may of cared for makes her a monster.
