NVIDIA 2060 SUPER & 2070 SUPER AVAILABLE TOMORROW AT 14:00 !!!!

Exactly this. I am thinking the same.
Unless you want a free room heater, go ahead for NAVI.

I thought power consumption was roughly ballpark?? RX5700XT around the same as a RTX2070,and the RX5700 around the same as a RTX2060??

If we assume £60 for the games then 2060 Super actually doesn't look *as* bad considering it doesn't have the same caveats.
Though I think the performance on offer for its price point is unacceptable.

Isn't there a hardware lock for some of these bundles(can only be run on systems with certain graphics cards),or is it something I imagined?

I was just kidding there, for a laugh.

Hitting 92C in some runs does make the NAVI warm, when the 2070S sitting no higher than 70C.

The blower cooler is crap, but if anything the RTX2070 Super will be a better heater, as the cooler is actually expelling the hot air quicker than the cooler on the RX5700XT! In the case of the RX5700XT the cooler is not moving heat out of the system quick enough and it runs too hot. More like a heat trap....a dented one at that too!

:p

Only one site hit that high, TPU afaik. Maybe high ambient?

That's probably the case. Most runs of NAVI I saw 70-80C.

Aye, blower's just useless.
Maybe a cost cutting exercise.

In our open bench testing in a warm office with no AC the card was 70c running Heaven maxed out on 4K resolution and though it was audible it was quieter than past blower cards. Seems not so bad but could be better but it’s the best blower cooler yet.

2070 Super can be had for £95 more than a 5700XT.
Better performance.
Better Thermals.
Better Acoustics.
2 AAA games.

2070 Super OC is 2080 performance.

The way I see it based on the stats:

More expensive
Similar performance to the 5700 XT (a bit faster)
Once partner cards are out similar thermals and acoustics
Roughly similar game bundle. The game bundle compared to the 3 month membership is much of a muchness, lots of good games to play in 3 months. Personally I would call that a tie.

Each to their own but I think both the 2070S and 2060S are horribly priced against the Navi offerings.

I have a 1080ti but if I was buying now I would probably buy a 5700 XT. That is me though, I care about performance per buck at 1440p and Navi is superior to the 2070S or 2060S in that respect.

If this card had a different cooler I'd agree with you.

But having gone through a 290X reference and a Vega 64 reference I just can't stomach another poor AMD reference card again.
I'm an AMD fan.

I am not a fan of anybody or anything. The 3rd party cards will launch soon, it is a few weeks at most.

Performance is on par for a lot less money, the 2070S is superior in some games, the 5700 XT is superior in others.

All I would say one thing in AMDs favour they gain more performance over time so something to maybe consider. ;)

RX 580 vs 1060 6G at launch 1060 won but now RX 580 wins at everything.

If NAVI has similar gains then 5700 XT may beat Super in months to come in most games but time will tell but I feel both 5700 and Super cards represent much better value.

OC'ing results thus far put the 2070S further ahead though.
There's no guarantee with AIB pricing.

I've scoured reviews and I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place I think.

At the moment I'm just sticking a morpheus on my Vega 64 though.
