Nvidia 310.54 Beta driver released

You realise these are beta drivers right?
Beta drivers can have bugs, that is why they are called beta.

They are for people who want the best performance in said games (BO2/AC3) and don't want to wait for the final debugged release as those will take longer. I don't think I've ever installed a piece of software labelled 'beta' and expected it to echo the quality of the final release.

This tbh..

Yup, though i had to uninstall theese drivers and revert to the previous set i was using, (306.23). Had three crashes in bf3 in one round, clocks reverted back to stock each time. Installed the previous set, played for over an hour without any problems.

Does that mean you did get an improvement in performance after all?

Performance was down a little as mentioned previously, this coupled with the crashes meant i uninstalled the betas. Tbh, being betas theese niggles are to be expected.

I tried the new drivers and found they freeze my system up with quad sli when going into nvidia control panel.

I also found for quad sli they are not as good as 301.42

For a single GTX 690 I found 306.23 gives the best performance.

It is so easy to roll back, try it. I always save the drivers on to a seperate folder for later testing (if needs be).

It takes a minute to install them. Any probs, just install the ones you had previous.

Edit:

I feel these bring some good and some bad. I have not seen this % increase in BF3 they are quoting.

Well I have spent a week on these and I have rolled back. On my palit GTX670 after a bit of a gaming session the fan would ramp up but long after exiting back to desktop or standard browsing etc the fan would stay ramped up until the machine was reset. Bit strange and hasn't happened since I rolled back. This happen to anyone else?

I will refrain from the response I want to give Tommy for fear of a Permaban :D

On a serious note, the last 2 'betas' have been appalling. Not sure if it is just sli/multi screen problems (don't think so) or everyone. I shan't moan though as I appreciate they are betas (test drivers) and hopefully all sorted by the time of WHQL release.
