Nvidia 3d vision .. Worth it ??

I miss mine have to say. I never tried the mk2 glasses kit though, any good?

Everything is much brighter and it doesn't strain your eyes like the V1 apparently. I never tried the V1 but people complained of it being dark.

Lightboost is awesome.

Pay no attention to Marine. The thing with 3D is, it doesn't use AA, as this kills (or does something to the effect) and what you lose in doubling the image, you mostly gain back from turning off AA.

I run a single Titan and Metro runs sweet as. Nothing looks jagged either.

Correct. You don't need aa or as much in 3d for some reason and metro runs great with one gtx 780 in 3d. 3d adds something that make even lowering settings acceptable.

Tc, take the advise from those who use it.:p

all the reviews i have seen for the 780 TI all look very positive !!

will all arrive tomorrow so looks like a late night of 3d gaming lol

Another tip, when you set it up be sure to click on "set keyboard shortcuts / show advanced in game settings / enable advanced in-game settings" this will allow you to adjust your 3d convergence during game play. If you haven't got trine 2 then I highly recommend you get it, also give War thunder ago, it's free and looks superb in 3D, well the 3rd person view of the aircraft does. Hope you enjoy it. ;)

Quite looking forward to Metro Last Light in 3D.

Think that will be my next game. That or AC2.

It looks stunning. Not many of the fps give me that wow factor but metro does. I was very impressed with the frames as well, as I had everything set to ultra including PhysX and the only thing missing was AA.

Well worth a play in 3D.

Edit:

I am glad this thread was made, as I hadn't played in 3D for quite some time but just played Batman AO again and wow just wow. If the OP likes 3D, he is in for a treat :D

It is dark, some games are a bit pants because of it as its hard to focus, though as soon as gsync is out I'll be snapping up the 24" 144hz asus which has lightboost :D

Can I use a v1 emitter and glasses with a v2 screen and still get lightboost etc...?

Batman AO is wicked in 3d.

Was sad last night when I was lying in bed playing it, as I turned 3D off due to distance to screen.

And I just realised how bad it is, lying in bed playing games, then just rolling over and going to sleep...

Tonight, will be playing in chair with screen 2 feet from my face :D

Yer, the only difference is the glasses are bigger. The lightboost is what comes with your screen.

another question, i run DVI from the card so that it runs 144hz standard

for 3d is it best using the DVI or using HDMI? or will it only work through DVI

Bear in mind I'm coming from AMD to Nvidia (can't wait for del tomorrow) lol

DVI only Andrew :)

I still have for sale one of my Asus VG278H 3D monitors with Lightboost and 3D Vision 2.0 built in and comes with unused glasses :D

HDMI is both a blessing and a pain... But it's what I use for my 3D gaming, but that's only possible because it's passive.

Oh, the debates over whether it was true 1080p or not.... lol.

I believe HDMI isn't capable of running 120Hz but some one will correct me if I am wrong. something about 1.4a or blah blah blah.

From what I know the cables themselves are capable of handling 120 Hz (the new cables) but the sockets built into devices at both ends (i.e. the GPU and the monitor) are not yet the upgraded to the new HDMI standard.

Think of it like HDMI single link as opposed to dual link :p. That kind of concept... (although that isn't technically the difference that is the idea).
