The Native resolution numbers look pretty good compared to a 3090Ti if that is run at 4K max setting as 3090Ti seems to do between 60-70FPS where as seeing 100-125fps here...
It does fall inline with Jensens quoute of upto 2 x performance ( rasterisation ) increase over the 3090ti , definitely more than the normal 25- 30% that is normal dished out.. if this holds up to be the case on most games then looking like a very nice upgrade over a 3090 .Oh don't worry it's max settings, Nvidia always uses max settings for its own benchmarks because they and everyone else know the harder the RT effects hit the game, the larger the performance variance is on higher end GPUs
And if the performance is going from 60 to 70 to 100 to 125 then it's a between 68% and 80% uplift at native 4k for the 4090 vs 3090ti. And that matches Nvidia's benchmarks from the announcement and matches leaked things like Timespy benchmarks
That was because we couldn't buy one at the low msrp/rrp prices... now it's a case of we don't want to buy them due to the high pricesEh ? The 3xxx series, the AMD 6xxx series ? Wasnt that long ago and people were a lot more wound up than they are now!
You left out the 4080
Having been pushed into buying an RTX3090 due to lack of anything else available where I live, I now find myself strangely relaxed because if I need to I can probably skip this gen or at least really hold out until the middle of this cycle when things settle. I think getting myself a 58003D and popping that in will also be a big boost in frames for VR etc. That was because we couldn't buy one at the low msrp/rrp prices... now it's a case of we don't want to buy them due to the high prices
Mmmmmmmmm Jamie Lee Curtis' norks....Wasn't that Trading Places? Plus I'm pretty sure that was her in Licence to Drive...
I updated without knowing this a few days ago and it seems okay for me, might be one of the lucky ones!Ohh look Microsoft is helping Nvidia to sell GPUS again... Just a heads up ladies and gents. I know most of you are reading this thread (so off topic for this thread but you are all here and hardly in the Windows section). Will add it to the Windows area too.

Would a hx750 be enough for a 4080 16gb?
We have cyberpunk again this time around! Just with overdrive dlss 3 modesAmpere had Cyberpunk, this has nothing
Ampere had Cyberpunk, this has nothing, much like Turing had nothing. So upgrade for what?
Portal RTX in 4k?
Coming to America
Agreed. My 3080Ti runs everything at 3440x1440 extremely well. I rather drop settings in the future than pay for the high 40 series pricing.I feel like 4k 3090 users might jump on the 4090 upgrade path however 1440p and below really should skip this gen.
