Someone needs to compare the 4090, 4080 16GB and 4080 12GB performance gaps to the 3000 series. Just to really outline what the 4080s REALLY are.

On the Zotac page it says you can select the bios from within their software. Can you do that with MSI cards through their software or do you have to go in to bios?

The 4080 cards aren't getting released yet, so I presume that - even if reviewers have the cards already - they'll be under embargo until close to their release date.

Have you seen the Der8auer review, performance looks good at 4k, power also good as can run it at 60-70% power and it still performs well

Lol so true. Many of us literally use our PC's all day every day for work and for our own enjoyment, so it feels like a worthwile investment even if its more than we originally wanted to spend

This x100. Having the best performance for games/work for 2 years+ is worth paying the premium. The amount of use I'll get out of this over 2 years even makes it a reasonable expenditure, compared to some other hobbies and products.

Thats why you should never go ti>=90. You either go ti to ti every gen or 80/90 to 80/90 every gen.

Which is why it annoys me that most of the reviews are vs a 3090ti. People who have just bought a 3090ti really shouldnt be looking at buying a 4090 unless they have money to burn. They should be waiting for the 4090ti.

You get the fastest card at launch and wait for the next gen fastest card. Simple but effective strategy.

The 4090 FE is smaller than the 3090 FE.

I see that when looking now, so 4090FE is 305mm long , 3090FE is 336mm long - is that right?

I went from a 80 to a 80 Ti and then to a 90(3090)
