NVIDIA 4000 Series

Whats your price predition on asus strix 4090?
Google has already scraped the price from OcUK at £2400

All you have to do is press F12 on the product page to get the Chrome console open, search "js-totalPrice" and you'll find the current price.

You'll be pleased to know the Strix 4090 is actually only £2300 not £2400, bargain :D

You under estimate the number of gamers who have to have the best, mixed in with some chancers looking to make a few quid scalping.
But even in 2020,majority of enthusiastic gamers wanted the 3080 and not the 3090.
and if it wasn’t because of mining boom (and as a result ,scalping boom) and severe shortages you should've been able to pick 3080s within maybe 1-2 months after launch.

I picked a 3080 at the time ,it was hard work ,took 2 months of patience but 3090 were available regularly and again that was in the peak of mining/scalping situation.

mining is over
scalping isn’t making much sense for £1700-£2000 niche hobbyists market
chip shortages are nearly resolved

unless they have VERY limited availability I can’t understand how anything even close to 3000 series launch disaster can happen

LOL I asked a store local to me "the odds of getting a suprim X today" they said in store only first come first served so I replied/

Okay thanks that's £20 for a taxi I don't need to spend then. :D

I bought a full pc from them apart from them GPU for the best part of 2k a couple of months back too, pretty lame, won't be buying from them again tbh and I doubt up north there's load of people willing to pay 2k for a gpu on the day.

I would have bought one but I think I'll just wait and see what amd have
I’ve spent over £20k in a certain retailer and I still wouldn’t expect them to give me one over someone else that hasn’t.

Yes but the 4080 is a **** card this time round.

I mean I don’t even see how scalpers can buy them this time. Bot protection is way more advanced than two years ago. And isn’t every order manually reviewed so it can’t be shipped to the same address?

I don't think they can command the profits they are used to. Prices must be almost at the limit as to what people will/can pay. Of course there will be some who will pay anything, so there may be some initial scalping, but I would be surprised if it is on the scale we saw for the 30 series.

and his buddies ....^
How many of them exist?
Vs
Millions and millions of 3000 series miners and scalpers feeding off them?

My educated guess would be there's 10,000 actual buyers in the UK for a card this afternoon, and that a lot of that number will be sated by a large stock of FEs. Will be interesting to see what happens as the day progresses.
