NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

You refresh the page at 2pm and the prices are revealed and you have a split second to try and look through the tears in your eyes and mutter a quick prayer towards your wallet and click the one you want before they're all sold out.
i dont think its gonna be that bad

people wont be lining up to spend 25 hundred on 5090s when January, 1st month after xmas people having massive bills to pay off from festivities, maybe the FE edition of the 5080 will be in demand, but AIB 5090s will be available, or I maybe wrong as how many early adopters are there with loads of dough vs stock available on day one..

They are absolutely going to go out of stock on day 1.

There are rumors that a lot of shops in Europe are only getting like 20 5080s each and some not even seeing any 5090s at all.
I do remember hearing last year that Nvidia had a massive faulty batch of Blackwells and had to redo the design really late into the whole process.

Jensen straight up says there was a design flaw and was only resolved late last year, and it affected production runs. I'm not surprised stock will be super low.

There are places listing 5080s and no 5090s at all which seems to support that.

well that makes sense, based on the 30 n 40 release dates wasnt it always released September/October

Now its January 2025 which makes it like 3-4 months late than usual

And WTF is AMD doing? I mean 10-15 years ago they were head to head with Nvidia, always had somthing to counter, now its like Nvidia own and control the market with zero competition

Thought I'd give Indy Jones a go with native 4k full path-tracing for the sake of giving myself some insight when it comes to benching the 5090:

They are absolutely going to go out of stock on day 1.
Regardless of demands, they will put the price high and make them sell out. This just creates supply and demand.
People blindly buying a product that they won't even have benchmarks available for before (5080)
It's such a con and why they get away with it every year.

Games aren't going to go out of date overnight. Not many games will fully take advantage of the raw performance on Day 1 (unless you want 200fakeframes per second)

So crazy how they get us all by the nads, blindly parting with £1k-£2.5k in the hope that when they arrive, the reviews are decent.

Oh well, I will be here watching the show. If they turn out to be good, I may upgrade from my 3090, but no rush this time around.

The End
(Good Luck Everyone and have a great weekend )
