NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

780 and titan is irrelevant at their current prices, 780 will have to go sub £400 to compete with the 290x and the 780ti will probably have to hit £450.

All hail AMD for bringing back sensible pricing to the high end GPU market.

I wouldn't be so sure. GTX680 had lower spec and performance in general than the 7970GHz, but it didn't stop Nvidia keep pricing it nearly £100 higher...

Yep, it's amazing what you can get away with when the general perception of your brand is that it's simply "better" than the competing one. Happens in all walks of life, not just GPU's

Nvidia will be Nvidia.

They know BF4 release will mean more GPU sales - so why lower the price? (I am included in that bracket)

AMD have tried to pre-empt potential sales loss by placing a good card at a good price point.

Im hoping they lower prices of the GTX 780 to £400 as i will buy one then, i would be tempted buy the 290X but i have the Nvidia 3D Vision i dont use it that much but its abit like a condom id rather have one and not need it than need one and not have one :D

What would they price the 780ti at though? If they price it at £550 and not have much increase in performance then more people will go down the 290x route. Nvidia needs to do something quite drastically with their pricing.

I can't see it happening. I think 450-490 is more realistic.
