NVIDIA 780 Ti Announced (18/10/13)

That wouldn't be faster than a titan though would it? Nvidia themselves said it was the fastest card they have ever made.

It would be faster than a stock titan according to pixel fillrate and the texture fillrate which are both higher than a titan's. The thing is gpu-z bases the stats on the core clocks which we all know that titan and the majority of nv cards boost way higher than it states. The spec is basically what i thought it would be but it's definitely to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Apart from the extra 192 CUDA cores and 16 extra ROP's, There's nothing really special about those stats compared with a non TI version.

Here's a screenie of my 780 overclocked, Game and bench stable for comparison.

Yeah I run my 780 @ 1300mhz 24/7, if it's only a few extra cores and clock boost on the 780ti, def wouldn't be an upgrade for anyone on a 780. Especially as the 780's can clock higher than some Titan's meaning that this architecture @ 28nm is almost at point of diminishing returns, i.e more cores / less overclocking. My old Titan gave me similar performance when clocked as my 780, my 780 can clock higher so the extra cores of my Titan were negated.

Maybe a redesigned GK110 / GK180 with '2880' cores could bring more performance, but only if it's tweaked to give high clocks / better efficiency. I'm hoping that's what Nvidia deliver, not some in-between 780 - Titan waste of time card..

If it were to have 2880 cores I could see it being nearly the same price as the Titan, Either way I shall stick with my SLI 780 setup until Maxwell arrives.
