Lian Li G50 has a suprising 32cm of clearance but it will probably block one of the optical bays

just need to double check:

i have the:

Lian LI PC7 Plus 2
Asus P5B deluxe WIFI
and the Drive cage has got 4 hard disks

anyone know if the 8800GTX can fit in there

yes from the looks of that mother board tray it looks as if there is loads of space for a 8800 gts & gtx

what make n model of case is that btw?

ah yes that's a Extend ATX tray. so im 100% sure you can use both GTS & GTX in that case m8

I think it's bad that Nvidia have produced are knowing too well that it won't fit in to a lot of cases. Bad show.. Not sure why they couldn't have added to the height rather than the length.

I would expect another revision thats maybe a little smaller...i am sure they have done this before ?

I emailed there customer services.. the reponse I got was

"buy a bigger case. Modifiying the cases wil invalidate any warrantee".

So that's that then.

The 8800gtx is meant to be shorter then the spec for a full size PCI card....

So you need to blame the PC case really and not the card for not being able to take full length cards....
