Are there any Shuttle cases that would fit the new nVidia card.

just looked at a review of the sd37p2, and i doubt it would fit, putting it simply. how much longer is it than a x1900, and is it just bare card after that or loads of capacitors?

edit: you might be lucky fitting it into a p2 chassis, however without working on one i don't know what clearance there is around the front of the shuttle.

dont forget most of the 8800 cards use up dual slots

i think the ati x1900 is about 23-24cm long

hi thefishydidit thanks for that

mm i was wondering if you could list all the Shuttle P models please?
so i can add them to the site list.

Tsunami dream...

ive got a thermaltake tsunami dream, and to fit my 8800gtx ive had to relocate my raptor hdd to the floppy cage, and remove the hdd cage. it looked like it would fit in fine.... until i tried to put it in and found a piece of plastic in between the 2 pci slot 'clips' that hold the graphics card in! after ripping said piece of plastic out with an old (but trusty!) pair of pliers, the card went in fine... with room for another! (if i had a quad sli psu!... mind you, with 2 in sli, im thinking heat might become an issue, 'cause my rig's getting warm with just the one!)

I'm thinking anyone with a thermaltake case with ''pci slot tool-free clips'' will need to remove the bit of plastic from between the pci clips to fit the card...

hope this helps!

Gabs.

heres some pics of the card fitted in my tsunami... :p

and heres a pics showing clearance for Sli... (although fitting with a sound card might be an issue...)

8800gtx will JUST fit (about 1mm space) in a gigabyte 3d aurora ..have to put it in at an angle then level it out with the pcie slot.

However is anyone getting any of these cases for the 8800 GTX or GTS:

Thermaltake VE1000BWS Mozart TX Entertainment Tower Case
Yep, best case I've ever had, loads of room and case temps are at ambient room. Planned room for 2 loops with 120.2 each.

mm from the look of that pic Yarkanat no u cant fit a 8800 gtx card in it
but a gts might just fit

well if the motherboard and the HD cage are level and the gfx gtx card can go in the cage then u could get away with it
