RUMOR: NVIDIA to announce the GeForce RTX 3000 in August

According to the latest leaked gossip (and it is just that), NVIDIA would now be launching its new GeForce RTX 3000 at the end of August so that its partners can display their custom models at Computex 2020, which will finally take place from September 28 to 30.

Of course it remains SUPER unsure if Computex will open up at all. The company is expected to launch Tesla and Quadro models first, based on the Ampere architecture. We have already seen leaks with up to 8192 Cuda Cores and 48GB of HBM2E memory.

For gaming, line rumors indicate that GeForce RTX 3080 Ti would get 5376 Cuda Cores, a 384-bit memory bus, 12GB of VRAM offering an estimated 40% performance increase over RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 3080 could feature 3840 Cuda Cores, 320-bit bus, 10GB ram, 10% better performance than the RTX 2080 Ti. It will be interesting to see if this information ends up being true, or ends up being false rumors.

Hopefully. Been waiting for ages and would like get my G-Sync back up again as I refused to upgrade to the 2000 series. Looking forward to the RTX 3070. It will likely offer plenty performance for my needs, which is 4K60FPS

If RT performance is doubled or better, plus a >40% hike in grunt then dependent on price I may look to upgrade. Fancy getting my kids an UW monitor and my 2080Ti should power that well enough.

They're currently using my old RX480 which fine at 1080P, is still starting to show it's age in modern titles even at that res.

In general is always good to skip a generation, its what I do. Im still on my 1080ti so 40% over a 2080ti in rasta performance would be a big jump

Today's latest rumours are September. I reckon all along it was September anyway due to Cyber Punk 2077.

In fact its probably the other way round. They asked CDProject Red (paid) to push release back to sync with the release of the new cards.

Possibly. I'll try to wait a month or two this time so that I get some free games with the purchase. If you buy at launch you get nothing for free normally. Think it was about two months before you could get the three free games with an RTX card.
