Yeah. They pushed you to buy a 3090 no lube edition, just like a few years ago they pushed me to get a 4K g-sync monitor after I had waited about a year for them to release a freesync 2 after it was announced.
In the end I am well happy with my choice of going 3080FE. Especially because it ended up being sub £600 after selling the game codes and cashback
Agree, jensen mailed me a fresh 50ml bottle and told me to just be the receiver.. so I caved. I wont have the VRAM worries of @TNA @Richdog but I'm sure by the time the 3080 is struggling there will be better choice and refreshes to make a sell-on palatable.
AMD have got to a rasterisation place which is very good, and can even get better gains when people upgrade to new ZEN bundles. As you did @TNA I sold my code so theres another 30 toward the FE price, which judging by all the AIB markups is not as harsh as it sounds. I have undervolted to lowest voltage and it draws 240w on load. Its actually not much more than my Vega but crushes it in all tasks so far - I am playing Death Stranding and it looks amazing.
