NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

Interesting how Tomsguide didn't mention (at least from what I saw) vram usage? Will be very interested to see those figures.

Its clear Nvidia currently dominate in this particular game and I am really loooking forward to seeing detailed performance comparisons when it's launched.

Also seems like it has a lot of bugs so it will likely be worth waiting for at least a couple of months of patches to play this game.

I heard a reviewer mention in passing that the 6000 does better than Ampere when settings are turned down, and today I saw that in one of the Cyberpunk benchmark charts. It's like Big Navi is faster but Ampere is wider.

Too bad Big Navi doesn't work with the Reverb right now. I just got a notification for the AIO Asus 6800XT. Refreshed it a couple times just to see how long before the "Add to Cart" button disappeared. It was the longest time I have seen a non-scalper card sit. Over two minutes...taunting me.

Any tips on where to setup for notifications?

Yeah I can imagine it will be a while. Thanks though.

I'm also in the EVGA queue with one of the two cards they have yet to make a run on. I signed up for all the other SKU's when they announced how it would work on 10/6. I may end up getting an invite for one of my 10/6 cards before the 9/17 card. Oh well. It will happen eventually.

Heck, if I wanted to get ripped off, I could buy a scalper card at any time now. There are twelve on the jungle site right now.

Yeah I think I'll be hanging on until the scalpers can no longer scalp although I think I will be waiting quite some time! Good luck with getting a card you would like.

3080 needed for 1440p if wanting decent FPS numbers, unsurprising.. where are the ones who kept saying 3080 is a 4k card and not below?
no one said the 3080 cant give good fps at 1440p, but it's architecture is scaled more for performance at higher resolutions. Its still obviously going to be great at 1440p in graphically demanding games.

There's like a 10% difference between 3080 and 3090. If the 3080 is not a 4k card, then neither is the 3090.

If you look at the 4k testing the cards mentioned become stronger at this resolution. The 10% figure is very generic and not accurate for all the games out there, the variance can be miles more. nvidia also said they would be massaging out more performance as it matures so expect them to dominate at this resolution unless the game has specific bias to a particular brand.

Considering just taking a hit and getting a FE from eBay :( sad state of affairs

I only have a 1070 and want to play cyberpunk over Christmas
Stay strong, friend. I have a 980Ti and my collector's edition arrives very soon. It's medium detail at 1440p for me and I'd rather that than hand over money to a scalper. Or worse, a thief.
