NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

I think it is clear we are dealing with uninformed fantasists... the ignore function is about to be used. :)

It's funny because I had a high quality 720p projector over a huge screen and I never noticed any of those pixels in it's pictures. But 1080p 24 inch monitor is apparently unbearable on the eye

Also this shows that the average human eye can barely tell a difference between a 24" 1080p and 4k

My eyes are about 40cm from my monitor right now. Definitely in the worth it zone :p

Not that I need some graph to tell me the huge jump my eyes see in image quality from my 1080p monitor. Each to their own though.

Pfft. My eyeballs are 1" from my 100" 4K screen. I'm so in the worth it zone that my backlight bleed has changed to make muthafunkin golddust ooze from the screen surface that I collect in a tray....so I'm rich now too BTW and can finally afford a 2080 invidya TI :)

I just read something about NV 7nm not sure if news to others.

That chart above is kind of basic there are better ones but some will argue it is BS as they either have Superman's eye sight or want to justify there purchases, IMO it makes sense as I grew up sitting across the room from 20-32" CRT's (bedroom 14") and broadcast SD looks ok at that distance and HD will look the same unless you get closer.

If I watch an older SD show these days I simply sit further back and it looks fine on Pioneer Kuro 1080p, with HD I am like 6-7 feet max away.

4K is worth it but do not for get it just makes the picture a lot sharper and the compactness of the pixels improves the look of the texturing in games, It also helps improve a lot of old games which have lower textures and if you are looking to buy a new 4K monitor this Christmas season do not go above 32" in panel size or you will lose the benefits.

Again all the above charts say the same thing - if you are sitting at a desk and your screen is biger than 20 inches, then 4k is fully worth it

If that doesn't send you blind then all the ****ing will!! :D
Lol. My eyes are fine. Not perfect but I do not need glasses and I do not subscribe to the sitting closer will make you blind stuff. Been doing it for long enough now, if there was going to be a change in my eyesight it there would have been now :D

Same here. Was sitting glued to even my crt monitors back in the day with no I'll effect to my eyes.
I do get occasional headaches when playing games for 20 hours non stop lol...

Bigger as in 40" or 100" < could be read this way but I know you did not mean this lol.

If you mean 20.5-21"" that is not accurate , look at the chart a 20" 4K would be 0-1.0 foot away (kind of unrealistically close), you need to go to about 34-35" before your sitting at a realistic distance of 2-3 feet and 4k will be noticeable.

All I can say is there is a night and day difference for me. Maybe some sit further, maybe their eyes work differently. I will take what my eyes tell me over some graphs online :)

Surely the smaller the screen the better lower resolutions look, and the larger the screen the better 4k resolutions look? QHD 1440p on a 32" will still look good, great even with AA.

4k on a 20" screen is 'fully worth it'... really? Wow, it seems the common knowledge on resolution perception and distance are now being re-written. Never mind the common sense aspects.

*shudders*

Wanna know what reallybshit is 1440p on that ultra wide Samsung 49 inch monitor

I haven't seen graphics that bad in 15 years

Ultra wides are (imo) just bad full stop for anything but productivity, I hate gaming on them. The 49"+ ones are just ludicrous.

If you take a look at the charts people are posting, if you are sitting at a desk you are about 2ft from your screen, at 2ft and 20" the line falls squarely in the "UHD worth it" section - anything above 30" and its "higher than UHD worth it"

Seen a few posts saying that PS5 GPU is roughly equivalent to a RTX 2070 or slightly behind. Wouldn't surprise me if the 3070 is around 40% more powerful than whatever will be in the PS5.

Prefer screens I can see everything without having to move my head around while gaming, my Dell 24" 1440p screen is pretty sharp.
