Oh no not again, he's spelt TSMC wrong.

I remember 7970Ghz edition and it was about £350 and I bought when they came down to £300. Cant remember the cost of the 7990 but I remember they sent me a higher Hz version than the one I'd paid for, by accident.
an 80 class Ti GPU for £420 (in 2014) makes you wonder where that additional £700 (adjusted for inflation) goes in Turing£511 in today's money. https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator
I wonder if the high prices are partly to prevent a manopoly? Current prices got them up to 80%. If next gen was cheaper, we could be looking at 95%. Competition watchdogs investigate, then the government splits up the company: a gaming division and a professional division.
Jensen definitely won't want that, so it would make business sense to raise prices by quite a bit.

So I had a dream last night I purchased a new 3000 series care and it cost me £913.
I can't see the AIBs being cheaper than reference/FE. When has that actually happened in reality?99% likely that all the AIB cards will be a traditional design. It'll just be the founders edition that are ludicrously expensive with the over engineered thermal solution, just so launch day reviews aren't full of "NVIDIA takes note from AMD, RTX3000 series HOT and LOUD!"

You must be lusting for Ampere quite a bit that it is taking up a lot of your brain cycles. So much so that it made it into your dreamsSo I had a dream last night I purchased a new 3000 series care and it cost me £913.

Maybe nvidia's taken to using subliminal messages.Nah not really. But I watched that engineering video before bed that Nvidia posted so maybe that's what triggered me.

When the 3060 6GB costs >£400, and performs worse than a 2070S, I will spend the first half of the day laughing, then the second half crying, followed by taking all my eggs and putting them in AMD's basket.I am thinking of running a book on who blows a fuse on release when price/perfomance is known
