NVIDIA ‘Ampere’ 8nm Graphics Cards

But no one buys a cpu based on how fast you can download and install steam.

productivity, gaming and price.
My point is, the people who think they "just game" always do more.

I mean as far as I am concerned this is just a gaming rig, i don't work on it. Yet right now I have a game running, discord, chrome, bing maps and i'm downloading a different game. Thas very typical usage for most "gamers".

Stop nit-picking.

My machine is gaming machine and whilst I do use it to browse the internet or watch a video on YouTube, if it's main use was not gaming I wouldn't be buying high-end components. A cheap pre-built would do the job.

The point is, you are a pedantic plonker and it's obvious what the guy means.

It's not nit picking. I'm just pointing out the MASSIVE flaw when people say "I ONLY game therefore Intel is best". NEver do they ONLY game. ergo, worth looking at Ryzen!

Yea but the extra tasks done, what benefit would Ryzen provide? Nothing major at all. Hence your post does come off as nitpicking in the end to be fair as it is obvious what they are saying.

With that being said, I would go Ryzen myself. Especially if one is looking to upgrade soon, Zen 3 will likely be better than Intel in every way, including gaming.

It absolutely is nit picking... even the worst intel currently available will browse the internet just fine, there is no advantage in going with a 3950X to browse ocuk for goodness sake.

You clearly buy a CPU based on only the demanding things you ask of it, as all CPUs whether intel or AMD that anyone on here is looking at are more than sufficient for the mundane task of turning on the computer, opening steam and maybe browsing a forum or watching a YouTube video between games.

So yes, if the only actual demanding thing you ask of your PC is gaming then intel is just fine and arguably still (just, and only for now perhaps) a little better. I still wouldn’t buy one personally, but your argument is simply obtuse.
