**Nvidia G-Sync owners thread**

Looking to move to a gsync screen soon. I'll be selling the CPU, mobo and ram in sig to help fund the purchase, (X99 build on the way). But, I'm pondering wether to go 1440 or 4k. The former I reckon will be grand with a single 980ti, not so sure on the latter. But going 4k now on lower settings might do ok until new gpu's are released.

I'm going to get a 1440 144hz gsync IPS screen (waiting for asus) for sitting at the computer, and waiting for LG's new 2015 OLED 4k Flat HDR screens to hit and pick up the 65" of that. I've got £5k aside for it, so hopefully wont be more. That way if I want 4k gaming I'm going to get someone in to run an HDMI cable to the TV from the computer and have my 4k gaming fix that way.

Well I have a SLI system running on my 55" 4k TV and a 980Ti system running on my 4K G-SYNC monitor. I can tell you the effects from going from G-SYNC to non G-SYNC is obvious. Was playing MGSV in my study then went to my bedroom to play on my 4K 55" TV and the change was obvious. Took me about 30 mins to get used to it.

Mgs isn't very demanding, it should be locked at 60fps... What TV do you have, are you sure its not just input lag?

I'm currently debating getting either a 34" gsync or a 48" 4K for a sim pit, and moving away from gsync is the one thing that worries me

I would struggle to lose G-Sync. That was the one thing I missed whilst using the FX in truth and no fault of the FX but it just made games seem meh in comparison.

SLI 980 in the 4k TV build and a single 980Ti watercooled in my study. The 980Ti with G-SYNC is so much smoother than the SLI non G-SYNC setup.

OK, Sony's are all around 37-40ms input lag, so that could well be a factor
Do you use Game mode or PC mode? Outside of game mode it would be up to 69ms

It's not input lag lol. I know the difference. Input lag is the time it takes for you to do something and it then show on screen. This is more of a frame rate skipping kind of thing...

Anyone happen to know some good colour settings for the Swift ? Mine appears a tad black and white.

Guy who had mine before set it up properly with a tool and it seems bloody good for a TN (although it's still no ips/va!).

I'll put them up for ya asap

(I think Greg also has some good settings too)

Awesome thanks very much, Out of interest you would happen to know where I could find the Asus PG278Q color profile D6500 profile Wunley mentions do you ? I looked on the support site but it's no where to be found

I have my brightness on about 30-50 depending on ambient, and in NVCP set gamma to about 0.82-0.9

I shall give that a try :)
