No, it has exactly the same as the GT, all it is an 8800 GT with 16x more streams, thats it. :)

This new GTS is probably not much quicker than the GTX/Ultra, so those owners are still gona have the top cards as well, not bad going that, still on top for over a year.

not really true, has faster core and memory speeds too! from the review they got 720/2100 which the 8800gt cant really get with stock cooling or without volt modding and that was just a quick overclock, im sure it will overclock a lot further, lets wait until 11th december for a more fair comparison to the GT and the GTX.

Well actually plenty of people are getting 720 with stock cooler and no vold modding...

The memory on the GTS is proberbly maxed at 2100, I cant see it going any higher.

Its a benchmark the people use to test hardware in a hardware enthusiast forum.

It compares differing hardware across the board.

Its a bit of fun too.

Squeezing every last bit out of ones hardware in an overclocking forum.About Performance hardware.

The people who say its anything else usually have mediocre clocks and mid range hardware.

exactly.

anyone know if the card is exact same layout as a 8800gt? I need to know if my Accelero S1 cooler will fit on this card. Thanks

Acording to review seems so, and where does it state in the OCUK Store that it even fits the 8800GT (I think some peeps took a gamble and now we know it fits). :)

From that review, this is what I think.

If you have an 8800GT, no point upgrading, the difference is not big enough to warrant an upgrade, but its a nice card for people upgrading from an 8800GTS1.

And it could be 50 quid more than a GT aswell.

That's how I see it as well. Slightly better than the GT, but no way is it worth going from a GT > G92 GTS. Not worth the effort. However, owners of older cards will benefit more. I personally try not to get sucked into these "stop gap" cards and always like to purchase when the new range arrives.

i.e. My last few cards 6800nu > 7800gtx > 8800gts > ... (whatever the next new card is).

I try not to get the slightly speedbumped models, etc. But it seems like a very nice card. :)

You guys really crack me up its like reading a copy of Viz i really think you lot should get out more :D

Have you tried dating women ;)

*THERES NOTHING TO SEE HERE*

*PLEASE MOVE ALONG*

But seriously, i would like to see results of a 8800GT with the same clocks as the new GTS. I dont think they would be much different.

The only thing im interested to see in new reviews is maximum clocks, if they are voltage limited like the GT then i will await the 9800.

I cant see why anyone would upgrade from a GT to this, the only reason for non GT owners to buy this over a GT is if you cant get a GT and these are around £220.

*looks out window* .. well.. it is rather cold...

Get a nice jacket on, some gloves and a cap and you're laughing, I bicycle 10 miles to college and get all me stuff on and about half way there I'm in short sleave and the temp is like 4 degrees, its not that bad :D. Try some bicycling, it got me out more.
