**NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 680 NOW IN STOCK & AVAILABLE!!**

They were claimed to be cheaper than 7970's, which they aren't. It's pretty clear it's e-tailers inflating prices. In a few weeks you'll see them sit around £389 - £419 I imagine.
Maybe, although if you use that logic you could suggest they've been doing the same with 7970s as there's been no other high end alternative...

I was suggesting that even if that was the case, having been able to make the most of a premium price point for a few weeks uncontested, it could be relatively straight forward for AMD to then reduce prices to match or beat a lower 680 street price.

Either way it's likely to be a very few quid each way. Given launch price I just don't see a 680 at £380, 7970 at £430 price point as likely. Still, who knows, guessing is fun :)

I went for the EVGA. Normally I wouldn't pick up a new card on the day of release but my 5970 failed a few weeks ago and I've been using an old 8800GTS 320MB since then. I thought the extra 1GB VRAM would tip things in AMD's favour at 2560x1600 but that doesn't seem to be the case.

It's interesting that none of the main reviews have covered overclocking performance, which leads me to believe that it will be far from spectacular.

EVGA now sold out!

If you've not got a shipped notification by 4pm, call sales to change to another card, otherwise the next shipment is due to arrive late next week.
