NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Gaming Performance Previewed – AMD Calls It “Unappealing”, On Par With A Rade

Bit-techs review makes it out to be barely faster than a GTX760.

Not checked any others but .... oh dear. It does use less power but realistically a 760 wasn't a massive power hog in the first place.

The pricing seems the wrong side of £150. The cards costing over £180 are LOL worthy.

Looked at Techpowerup, and they peg it as about 10% faster than a GTX 760, but it costs about the same money.

Not worthy of a generational increase IMO.

This GTX 960 should be a GTX 950Ti (successor to the GTX 750Ti) arguably.

Nailed my thoughts exactly.

They'll make the usual sales because... Nvidia and shiny new number but this is a mostly pointless card.

The efficiency of the maxwell chip is appealing to me. Stuck at work right now but I'll get a good look at all the reviews tonight. Might go for this as surely it's going to destroy the radeon 5850 I have right now. Is there looking like much difference between all the models? Does it warrant the price difference between them?

Prices are disappointing in one respect but then actually quite good in another.

On the one hand I think we can all agree that for the performance the price is a bit high, but then with a release price of $199, a direct conversion + 20 % VAT comes too £157. So at least the price starts at the right level rather than there being any price gouging.

Little bit pricey like everyone else seems to think. The other half only asked for a PC this morning. She might have to wait a bit and see if these come down first.

lol @ people wanting Titan performance for £120 and three games.

Moon on a stick.

This is the 100th time nonsense like this has been posted in this thread (I can't be arsed to see if it was you saying it all the way through, but if it was, give it a rest, OK?)

Just admit like the rest of the people in this thread that this release is disappointing, given what we now know the pricing to be.
